I have a B6100HST-D that had a leak from the oil seal behind brake drum. I’ve done the breakdown, cleaned everything up, removed the seal and now have parts. I have several questions.
Do I need to lube or put sealant on the seal behind the drum prior to placement, or does it need to go in dry?
Do I need to put any sealant on the gasket for the axle case? If yes, what type?
I will need a fluid refill, is there an alternative I can use or do I need to stick with Kubota fluids?
Essentially the same question for the gasket behind the brake assembly cover? I didn’t think that one would need sealant, but I could not tell if it had it upon assembly.
And in general, how am I going to screw this up? I have replaced seals and gaskets before but I'm always looking for advice and information. I will continue reading on the site, I was just looking for what NOT to do. thanks y’all
