    Tractor seats

I ordered a new seat w/ suspension from e bay. It arrived today and I mounted it on my ZT mower. I expect that the seat bracket of your tractor could be modified to fit. The bottom of the seat is about 17" deep. According to the seller, it's a Ferris seat. I believe it is the same as a Kubota ZT...

    Tractor seats

That translates to, the bolt pattern is different and it won't fit without modification. I would look at how far off the bolt pattern is between the two seats. It may be as simple as drilling new holes. There are lots of seats available for ZTs and I'm sure you could make one fit. If you like...

Found bolt under BX on garage floor

What's really scary is when you remove the oil drain plug and something like that drops out.

Thinking about buying a Z422KW-54 zero turn

If maneuverability is what you want, you can't go wrong with a ZT. I bought my current Ferris almost 20 years ago. It's a rigid frame (no suspension). The ride difference between it and a new IS model is night and day. I would recommend looking at as many manufacturers as reasonable, there are...

    Zero turn to B series

Yes, your comments are helpful. Unlike the OP my trailer moving chores etc can be done with my L47. Like the OP my yard is rough former pasture. I feel your pain OP. I'm studying options right now. I now mow with a 2004 61 inch Ferris 1000Z . It's an older pre suspension model which works...

What size boat are we talking about? Weight?

    Zero turn to B series

I'm also considering replacing my current zero turn and have thought about a B or BX too. My mowing conditions are much like the OP's. He doesn't mention any slopes. I have a few slopes to mow. Anyone have with experience on both machines that can compare their stability mowing side slopes. My...

How common are broken SSQA pins?

Do you know what you were doing when it broke?

Moving a lot of dirt with L2501

Agree %100 Ag tractors have "material handling" loaders that were designed for moving dirt or mulch from a pile, not digging in a hillside. Next time you go to your local dealer compare an ag tractor/loader with any of Kubota's construction equipment. They don't build them heavier because they...

Dirt Dog (CBX60) or Tarter BB205BL Box Blade for BX23S

I have an EA 84inch model that I bought in 2018. They no longer make that model, but have made "improvements". I do notice that they carry replacement shanks for mine. I don't think the weight changed much, they list (the new model) at 570# I have had zero issues and have regraded a 3/5 mile...

    Size doesn't matter? Since when?

I ran the config tool. I eliminated the rear (dipper) valve kit and it reduced the price to $46,343 I didn't want a thumb on mine so I didn't think I needed the rear valve kit. I do have a grapple. I do have top and tilt and 3 rear remotes, a pin on 24in bucket, plus a half dozen other items. I...

    Size doesn't matter? Since when?

I find it pretty easy, maybe 1/2 hr. I never timed it. BTW I'm 69 and sometimes it takes me a while just to get myself off the floor. I do more loader/dirt work with my tractor than mowing/farm tasks. I bought my L47 as a loader without the backhoe. I had been disappointed in agricultural...

When I bought my JD5055e I asked for a SSQA. I believe the dealer had it in stock.

    Size doesn't matter? Since when?

If the price doesn't scare you, I think the L47 is a good choice. The loader, backhoe and hydraulic system is bigger/better for heavy lifting and dirt work. The HST is not the best for lots of mowing as there is no cruse control available on a L47. Much of my Bush Hog work is in a wooded area...

    Stump Bucket

I just sold my stump bucket w/grapple to a friend. I didn't use it often since getting a backhoe. I had it for several years and transplanted a bunch of bushes and pulled quite a few small stumps with it. I did dig a 30ft or so trench with it once. It still beats a shovel but placing the spoil...

    Top n tilt

I bought my hydraulic top link from https://www.surpluscenter.com/shop.axd/Search?keywords=top+link They have a few sizes to choose from. My tilt cylinder came from Kubota. It ran around $500 for my L47. All hoses were acquired locally.

    Seeking Kubota M7060 attachments

If you are going to do much grading with your box blade I would recommend top and tilt. It does require two rear remotes. If you are only getting one remote, you may want your dealer to install another before you take delivery.

Brand new kubota L4701, knocking and pouring out white smoke from exhaust.

I agree that he shouldn't have to troubleshoot a new tractor. The selling dealer is the real problem here. If everyone did their job correctly, what a wonderful world it would be. Maybe a member's suggestion will lead him to discover something simple like gasoline in the fuel or a kinked line...

Brand new kubota L4701, knocking and pouring out white smoke from exhaust.

First the disclaimer. I'm not a mechanic. I had a JD 5055e several years ago that suddenly started acting as you describe. Turns out a fuel line was pinched. The way it was explained to me was, the injector pump could not inject enough fuel so there was incomplete burning white smoke etc Is...

    Stump Bucket

Yes, I've done it, but it didn't work that well. I've had better luck with a regular bucket and working 90deg to the trench.
