    L4701 or MX5200 - Stuck on Decision

I think you only loose around 1.5% of your HP @ 1000ft.

    Toolbox Upgrade

Does the M62 have mount holes for the factory tool box mount on the loader mast? I made my own brackets and mounted this tool box from Rural King. It's designed to lift off after loosening two clamping screws. Since the bracket that is left behind is much smaller than the box, interference is...

    L4701 or MX5200 - Stuck on Decision

To the OP. This may seem like an odd question, but what is the elevation where your property is located? I'm at 3,000 ft and that causes a slight loss of HP. If you're in a similar situation, you may want to consider the larger engine.

HST vs. Partially Synchronized in an MX5400

I bush hog a small field and wooded area. Because there are lots of in and outs, between trees, etc. I do a lot of backing up and cutting in reverse. The HST allows me to go as slow as I want in reverse with better control than with my previous gear transmission. I had to constantly change gear...

    Anyone have a L47?

My machine isn't back from the shop yet, but I do have an update. I pulled out my WSM and looked up the hydraulic circuit diagram. Bad news is, I don't understand how to interpret the drawing. Good news is I can read. :- ) At the bottom of the page it says. P1: From Main Hydraulic Pump P2...

    Anyone have a L47?

Right now my L47 is in for service. When I get it back I'll double check, but I'm pretty sure I can pull in both boom and dipper stick at the same time (rotate too, I think). What rpm are you running at? I believe L47s have three pumps. One is for PS, the other two supply the hydraulics. The...

    Bush Hog 286 vibration

Every now and then when I start up my 286 it vibrates really bad, even with new blades. After shutting it down I do an inspection. Everything seems tight, so I swing the blades on their pivots, leaving them at an angle. Baffled I restart the mower, now everything is fine, zero vibration. This...

    M7060 hydraulic top link

To the OP. Are your attachments Cat-1 or Cat-2? If they are Cat-2 you may want to have a Cat-2 top link. I just remembered, a friend of mine just bought a Cat-2 Hyd. top link from Tractor Supply for his 100hp New Holland. He told me that it was necessary to reduce the width of the tractor end...

    M7060 hydraulic top link

I used a Cat-1 hydraulic top link on my JD 5055e for years. The tractor has a Cat-2 hitch and all my attachments are Cat-1. The Cat-1 top link was installed on the tractor side using a Cat-1 pin with bushings on the ends to fit the larger mounting holes on the tractor. Because the top link...

    Newbie question

I bought my SSQA forks here http://www.msattachments.com/-80-fork-frame-set.html and have been happy with them. I'm about 100 mi from Denton, NC where they build them, so I picked them up there and saved some dough.

Better for gravel driveway maintenance, a Box Blade or Landscape Rake?

If you get a hydraulic top link you will have an easier time. By retracting the top link you can dig. Extending lifts the cutting edge off the ground allowing the rear facing blade to "back drag". I do frequent adjustments as I go and never need to use the loader bucket.

I have an old tail wheel assembly. You are welcome to the fork if you want to cover shipping. Where are you located?

Better for gravel driveway maintenance, a Box Blade or Landscape Rake?

I used a York brand rake with guide wheels for about thirty years to grade driveways. About three years ago I bought a box blade from Everything Attachments and find that it does a better job, especially on roads with washouts. By using a hydraulic top link I can drag material to where it's...

    Size pallet forks for L3901?

The most common forks around here are 48in long 4in wide 3,700 lbs w/ a frame back, to prevent material from falling off the back of the forks. 48 in forks work well with pallets and round bales. Considering the lift capacity of most utility tractor loaders, I don't think anything higher rated...

    Replaced factory tool box

I did a similar thing years ago, but used a wider lower box. IMO factory boxes are way too small. I like to have things like a few fencing tools on board. Saves me trips back to the barn. Good luck.

Best grapple for the money for new L6060?

Probably 90% of the things I do are with the loader. The backhoe was an afterthought. I really wanted a good loader on a smallish machine. I bought my L47 in 2019 as a tractor loader, then the backhoe in 2020.

Best grapple for the money for new L6060?

What is the lift capacity of your loader? Recently I downsized my tractor from a 50 series JD, to a Kubota L47. I was concerned that the 780# grapple I used on the Deere would be too heavy for the L47. I'm happy to say that it works well and doesn't feel like I'm asking too much of the loader...

    FEL quick attach

Have you priced parts from Kubota? About 10 years ago I converted a NH and bought everything from them. At the time, I believe it was the cheapest option.
