    Injectors, repair or replace?

You guys seem to put way too much emphasis on maintenance! I once went to look at a Ditch Witch trencher that was for sale. I asked the owner how he liked it and a couple hundred other questions. One of the questions was, "How often do you have to grease the digging boom?" (I knew the...

    Bolt Trouble

Without seeing it, I'd suggest in those 37 years there's a shoulder wore into the pin and you may have to jack up the front of the tractor to free it up. If worse comes to worse, cut the pin off as close as possible to the housing that holds it. Center punch it and drill it with a smaller dia...

L305DT rescued from the salvage yard

I have to keep that can on there until I get a flapper. The exhaust manifold had a crack from the top to the bottom at the front of the elbow where it turns up. Blew exhaust right onto the alternator. I don't think there is a drain hole in the manifold anywhere. In talking with North Idaho...

    Injectors, repair or replace?

There are 4 dealers within 50 miles of me and none of them test injectors, but they pay their utility bills because they sell NEW parts. There are 2 diesel injection pump rebuild shops within 100 mile(and I'm sure there are more) that I've used and do excellent work. You're on the wrong side...

Can you post some pictures to show the limitations you're dealing with?

    Bolt Trouble

You mentioned not having enough space for the 1/2" bolt heads. If that process will work to reattach you could use some socket head cap screws. I have a 6206 Deutz and the transmission is attached to the engine all the way around with socket head cap screws.

    Injectors, repair or replace?

Philac, you can remove the injectors and take them to a local diesel injection pump repair shop. They should be able to test them to see at what pressure they "pop". If they're within specs. you're fine, if not have them rebuild them. (Or at least have a new price already located, so when you...

If you use the ole "search" tool you may find the answer. Someone started a similar thread and got a satisfactory answer just a couple of days ago.

L305DT rescued from the salvage yard

Couple more pictures. I didn't want to pretty it up until I was satisfied it was mechanically functioning. Engine has 444 actual hours. (Tach and speedo still work and cable spins fine.) Takes about 5 rotations to fire off without glow plugs. With GPs one rotation and she's going. Removed...

    post hole digger.... help

Tx Jim, some things you have to learn first hand. And when you do it stays with you! We have a clay here you could make pottery from. If you don't clean your auger every few inches you'll spend most of your time with a pipe wrench!!

    Belly mower backwards

I think on the B6000 your PTO turn the other way. It's all bass-ackwards! I think you have to come up with a mower to match.

    B 7100 decompression lever?

You activate the decompression by pulling the control knob out (towards the operator). This keeps the valves from seating and the engine will turn over easier and much faster. You can use this to warm the cylinders quicker for cold starting. You can also use this if you ever have a run-a-way...

    L260 Starter

Take it off and to your local starter rebuilder. They shouldn't have any problem with it and be MUCH less expensive then new.

    post hole digger.... help

Woods make good equipment. Probably too small for your machine. Sell it to someone with the correct size tractor. What Tx Jim said, it doesn't matter what you're digging in, sand, rock, clay or anything else if you get stuck you're not cleaning the auger soon enough.

    Kubota l 35 Mystery Lever--Help!

With your camera can you look to see if the rod (item #10 in second picture) somehow got pulled out of the groove in the gear? If so, maybe you can get it back into the correct position without separating tractor. I would think you could free up any pressure that might be on the front without...
