Lowering amount of pressure required to release detent on SCV

Jim, it's just aggravating when things are so simple! I think I'd rather have mechanical problems then bale hay in this weather!:D

    B6000 hydraulic leak

Look up banjo bolt washers. I'm sure your home town O'Reilly Auto would have them!! They're copper, flat and come in various sizes.

    B6000 hydraulic leak

Your first picture looks like it's at the bottom of the hyd. pump up front by the injection pump. That strainer you show in the second picture is in the hydraulic line in the back, right side behind your right heel as you set on the tractor. The line that connects to the pump in the front...

    My Finished Project Builds

Dave, your projects look good. For your welder and the breeze, might put up a piece of cardboard as a barrier as you weld. Just put in of the side the breeze is blowing from right next to your work. It really helps to keep your gas shield in place. On your wire un-roller, I'd suggest...

Lowering amount of pressure required to release detent on SCV

The advise doesn't seem probable. How you going to alter the shaft the balls set in when in detent (D in the schematic)? You can easily remove the balls and have no detent, that would be the only altering to "W" in the schematic. It's simple a metal ring that hold the balls in position. I...

    Tool You Made

Everyone has to make something to get a job done at some time or other... modified, adapted or from scratch. I needed to pull a pencil style injector a while back and didn't want to spend $100 to pull one injector. I had a slide hammer I seldom used so I adapted that and made the end piece of...

    5' brush hog on L1500?

I think a 5' mower is too much for you L1500. Just getting it started is the main problem, as you said, to much mass.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Neire, it looks like his entire roadway is the gutter! That's a side benefit of living in the mountains.

L345HD hydraulics and power steering quit working

Maybe go to a hydraulic repair shop and see if they have something. If not, you may need to visit a machine shop and have one fabricated. You could go here, http://www.kubota.com/part/partsList.aspx and slide to the bottom of all the legal stuff and click "agree". Then go down and enter you...

    Fuel Tank Removal

It looks like you might be able to reach up to where you took the picture. If so, wipe it all clean with paper towels, and without starting the tractor just let it be for a while to see if diesel shows up. Try to isolate exactly where the fuel is coming from. If you can't come to some...

    Rattling at rear tire B7200

Is the tractor new to you? Maybe someone is messing with you and put something in the tire during repair!:D

Many times we make judgement without

Sheepfarmer, I know the questioning, anxiety and grief you have in such a decision. We have 3 cats, one dog, one goose, 2 ducks, 2 horses and a few head of cattle. It's a responsibility you have to enjoy. When you've done all that can reasonably be done, then do more, the end is painful but...

Many times we make judgement without

Ever judge another person and find out later you were WAY off base? There's a lesson in this report. I copied this off of a post on a Cattle Forum. My local vet has many great stories. He also has a knack for retelling them. He post them on facebook occassionally and id like to pass them on...

    New seat required?

Now, have you had a seat needing repair? Being frugal, I wondered if I might get it to work again. This may be at it's limit!:D:D

    Fuel Tank Removal

Can you post some pictures of where the leak is? With pictures you may get ideas on a simple repair. Could be a hose leak, more so then a rust through, but who knows? You ask if you have to remove the tank for an epoxy repair...well if you can't actually see the spot the leak is originating...

    Food plots

Interesting read. Being in East Central Kansas I've never though about a "food plot". In fact, I'm not aware of anyone around here who cultivates one. We live on 6 acres, residential homes nearby, also many open acres of farm ground with usually soybeans, corn or hay fields. We have deer...

Lowering amount of pressure required to release detent on SCV

I think you need the detent balls left in place or it won't stay. I would go to your local hardware store and go through their "spring" collection. Find one close to same dia. and a tad weaker in compression. You can take a side cutters and modify one that is too long.

BX2660 Overheating / No temperature gauge movement

Use an infrared digital thermometer and check temperature at upper radiator hose, lower radiator hose, and back of head. This should tell if your gauge is OK or you have other problems. If you don't have one, you can find them a Wal-Mart, Harbor Freight, etc. less then $20.

    engineer mess ups

1+3=4 5-2=3 7+3=10 8-4=3 6+7=13 So the average person looks at those simple math equations and makes a comment. Hey, hey, hey, you've got one wrong! Well, 80% of them are correct, but we focus on whats' wrong. It happens everywhere in life. Build a house, then after you move in you...
