I've been looking for a used brush mower for my L1500. I just missed a 4 footer. There's a 5' one for sale locally, but I'm thinking it's going to be too big. It's pull type, so I don't need to worry about the weight, but it's a lot of mass to get going. I don't have live PTO either, so I can't get the mower going before I take off; it's an all at once proposition.

I think a 5' mower is too much for you L1500. Just getting it started is the main problem, as you said, to much mass.

I just got done using a 5ft on my 1982 l245dt. its a big B! but it did work. i kept mine about 2500+ and 1st gear only. any smaller I would not suggest. Like others said, holy spinning mass!
