Is there an upgrade for the (ZD, BX, RTV, Etc)12581-43012 fuel filter?

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. We had major floods and some wind damage so I've been busy fixing fence and tree cutting. Haven't even started road repair yet. The 2 micron element you found is the one I use. They used to suggest using the 10 micron during the winter but I've never...

Is there an upgrade for the (ZD, BX, RTV, Etc)12581-43012 fuel filter?

You should look at a Dahl filter. Baldwin sells them now and they are amazing. I use one on my L3000 as a primary with a 2 micron element. Can be used on diesel or gas and is also a water separator and rated for up to 90hp. It's so efficient that I normally don't change my factory filter every 2...

    M9000 A/C Thermostatic Switch

Up until last year I always used water. Air didn't get it clean enough by itself. Last year I mounted a electric fan in the front (blows front to back) that turns on when the a/c clutch kicks in and I don't want to get it wet any more than I have to. Now I wash the radiator from back to front...

    M9000 A/C Thermostatic Switch

Have you washed the radiator really good? From my experience with my 9000 they can look clean but still be full of weed seed and such. When mine has been dirty the compressor will cycle fast and not cool good. During hay season I have to wash mine out daily or it doesn't work properly. The fan...

    50 Hr service...

I think it's wise to change all the fluid at 50 hrs. In fact the owners manual for my L3000 and M9000 specify doing a full service @50. Why they changed that is beyond me because the new ones have just as much crap in them as the old ones did. Your front axle for example has the same metal...

    Water in Fuel tank(HELP)

If it has saddle tanks they'll have a drain in the bottom. If it's under the hood just take the line off the fuel filter and drain it out that way.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Finally got dry enough to box scrape my front yard and get a winters worth of ruts leveled down where I had to cross it going to the pasture feeding hay.

    bx2370 antifreeze

I use red ELC in my tractors. Just make sure it's silicate free and safe for all radiators.

If you don't have the tools you could always get a good adjustable wrench. One size fits all metric or standard.

    Kubota V2403-M-T oil recommendation

If it was mine it would have Amsoil series 3000 5w30 heavy duty diesel oil and Amsoil or Donaldson filters.

    50 Hr service...

It's normal to see metal but that's why I have and will always do a full service @50 hrs. I guarantee you if you pull on of the bottom plugs out it will still have tons of metal fillings in it. No way I could stand to know it was in my tractor for the next 400 hrs. At the minimum you should at...

    Water in Hydraulic Fluid

Assuming you haven't cranked it a single drain of fluid will fix your problem. If you have cranked it the entire system is contaminated and will require multiple drain and refills to flush the system. That cheap plastic cap may cost you a $1000 before you get it clean.

    Too much oil!

My son worked at Wally when he was a teen in the lube dept. He said he'll never take anything to Walmart for any kind of service and that includes tires. Enough said for me.

    Too much oil!

I heard of several times people only drained one side of the pan thinking it could be drained from either side. Maybe that's how it ended up being over filled.

Water somehow getting into Bush hog Gearbox

It's almost impossible to get all the old oil out of those gearboxes. May have to change it several times before you get it clean. Also need to make sure the vent is open so it can breath while it's being used.

Bolt on vs clamp on bucket teeth

I bought the same teeth my 4672 backhoe used and bolted them on. They work great but at the time I had never even heard of a tooth bar. I would probably go that route if I did it again.

    New BX2380 owner....grease question

LNL is good in theory but I have way to many fittings that it simply won't work on. I'd guess it's close to 50%. I don't hardly ever have trouble with my 3 jaw couplers. Main thing is clean the zerk before trying to grease it and then if it leaks it probably needs replaced. Been using the same...

    New BX2380 owner....grease question

It's funny that a grease discussion is almost as bad as oil. With 20+ years of mining experience I got to see first hand how cheap grease can affect the bottom line and that included red grease. We used about 1200-1600 lbs of grease a year and I have seen hundreds of thousands of dollars wasted...

    New BX2380 owner....grease question

I good gun will make it easier to grease and more likely to keep it greased. I remember the old pistol grip type and the hand cramps to go along with them. Thank goodness for air and electric operated ones now. Creature Meadow is right, I'm a big fan of Amsoil. I use this...

    T-Posts...driving in with a bucket?

My very first loader experience was on a Michigan 125. I'm sure someone was proud to get it when it was new but that was long gone by the time it made it to me.
