    Teeth Sharpening

I find that "heat will destroy the bond" idea hard to swallow. Regrinding bonded carbide tipped cutting tools is standard practice in the metal cutting world. There are plenty of ways to control the heat if need be. I would have a few of your teeth sharpened and test that theory out before...

    EZ - Peazy Remotes

Thank you for your concern. To date my health has been very good but I got blind sided by a respiratory attack last week and spent 7 days in the hospital. I am home and slowly getting better but still tethered to an O2 generator and have some rehab to do going forward. If I do my part and get...

    EZ - Peazy Remotes

Thank you for your interest but health issues have forced me to close the shop. Dan

    How to add hydraulics?

For a loader or backhoe you tap into the hydraulic system at the hydraulic outlet block. You would need the outlet adapter plate for the block: 7J266-68113 - $33 plus shipping at Messicks. The rest is appropriate hoses to connect whatever valves come with the loader and backhoe to the outlet...

    B2650 Float issues

First thought is a broken spring in the valve. Dan

    Recommendations repairing hydraulic cylinder trunnion

Its just a cylinder trunnion - nothing high precision in terms of the alignment. Restoring the diameter of the pins is the central goal. Weld thwm up and regrind. A decent (i.e. creative) machine shop will figure out a way to swing it for grinding. I can think of a couple possibilities with what...

    Teeth Sharpening

I am sure they can be re-sharpened with an appropriate grinder but it may be easier and more cost/time effective to simply replace them. Dan

    Spreader for Cab Tractor?

Lots of options. You might want to start with a look at agrisupply.com. You can also buy addon remote control kits (hydraulic, electric, cable) for use with cab tractors. Dan

Got a couple of quotes today

Yes. The 4 way valve can be mounted anywhere handy on the hoe and plumbed into the backhoe supply circuit directly ahead of the inlet on the backhoe valve. As "they" say a "true" third function. Dan

Got a couple of quotes today

I dont think I said that. I might have said use a directional valve instead of a diverter valve but switch activation seems optimal. Dan

Adding rear hydraulic hookup to L3940

Dont know the specifics of that valve but the two that operate the loader boom - they will be on the top left side of the valve. Dan

    10W 30 oil

A lot of VVT designs use oil pressure to dynamically set valve timing. That means changing viscosity alters oil pressure as a function of RPM which in turn alters timing adjustment as a function of RPM. The effect is going to be most pronounced at colder oil temps. I know nothing about the...

    10W 30 oil

Does not work that way. Two different standards defining two differrent classification schemes by two differrent organizations. Viscosity grade standard was introduced by SAE in the early 1900s and applies to all engine types. It categorizes oils on the basis of viscosity measured at 4...

    10W 30 oil

That chart is older than Methuselah. Modern formulations have essentially made grade 10W40 obsolete and replaced it with 5W40. It outperforms the old 10W40 in just about every way possible. You are not bending the rules much if at all. Dan

    10W 30 oil

(y)(y)(y) This is true of many newer engine designs and not just Toyota or automobile engines. Cummins no longer allows the use of grade 15w40 in some of their newer OTR diesels. They specify 10w30 or 5w40. The use of heavier oils is specifically verbotten and will void the valve train...

    BF900 lever broke

That is a very vanilla valve - 4 way 3 position on both spools with power beyond. It does not even have float on the boom. The $250 Summit joystick loader valve would actually be sn upgrade. Dan

    BF900 lever broke

That is not a Bailey G series valve. The G series are P40 clones and have an entirely different casting. I would suggest he just bite the bullet and replace the valve. Dsn

    BF900 lever broke

I doubt that joystick kit will work with your valve. It is made specifically for Bailey's 10 GPM G series monoblock valves. Many OEMs make those joystick kits for their valves and they are not interchangeable. Dan
