    B8200 not charging

Looks like its in front of the radiator? Hst has an extra hydraulic cooler in that area. Im guessing a gear tractor could choose to use the hst battery area if they wanted to. I actually have two batteries on my b6100, one of them being on the loader subframe. But those things have a weird...

    B8200 not charging

Sounds like youve absolutely got a use case for it. I dont remember what the stock battery size is but ive got a 24dc marine battery in my b8200. I use walmart marine batteries for anything they’ll fit in. 😂

    B8200 not charging

However it’s regulated, it shouldn’t charge any more than it needs to. Unless you’ve added a bunch of electrical draw to the tractor somehow that exceeded the capability of the stock charging system, nothing will change just because you now have an alternator with a massive amount of ‘headroom’...

Kubota b7100 FEL build on a budget

Nice!! It's gonna be awesome having a tiny loader. I havent gotten over mine and its been a couple of years now.. Kinda 'crazy' of you to test the thing with only one lift cylinder!! Lots of people wouldn't willingly put their factory-built loader through that. So, the fact that nothing...

Trench Digging Fab for 3902 w FEL

I second the middlebuster idea for this. I think that would work really well other than needing (maybe?) to clean it out by hand afterwards. If you really want to go deeper than a foot the best option probably becomes something else. I can't recommend anything FEL-mounted for this task...

    Front backhoe usefulness?

A towable digger makes a lot more sense than a fronthoe on a tractor loader, in most situations i can imagine. I think a stump bucket makes more sense than a fronthoe on a tractor loader in a lot of cases too. A skid steer is really what makes a fronthoe a workable idea if other better options...

How to determine selling price - B6100D

That's a very nice tractor. I agree with start at 5k and see what happens. I have not had good luck selling a ~700hr B7100D gear tractor w/48" mower for ~4100 obo. Haven't had an offer over 3000 that i recall. I've just held on to it, waiting and looking for trade opportunities. I think part...

    B6100 w/ Loader+Backhoe

So i have two turbo minivans. The SRT4-swapped one was originally 3spd auto and still is, but it's a different case to fit the srt4 engine (different starter location) with same basic guts as an 89 would have had. It's basically a mini-torqueflite 904 in a fwd transaxle arrangement. My other...

    Land Pride 1260 bushhog gearbox

Those look like thread measurements. 24mm is slightly thinner than 1”. Some tow balls have a 1” 14tpi shank, and use a 1-1/2” nut. If that happens to be the size you need you might be in luck because all kinds of places sell ‘tow ball wrenches’ for $8-15. Harbor Freight, Walmart, Autozone, etc...

KX033-4 Excavator Bucket & Thumb Issue

Got any pics of yoyr 24” bucket, OP? Im curious how hard it would be to relocate your teeth.

KX033-4 Excavator Bucket & Thumb Issue

Is the 24” bucket the one you use most of the time? If youve ever thought you might like a different bucket i would use this as an excuse to get a new bucket that either a: doesnt need modification to fix this issue, or b: doesn’t leave you ‘bucket-less’ while you modify the 24” to fix this...

    Land Pride 1260 bushhog gearbox

Hold a tape measure to it. Or slide calipers. Or, if you dont mind half-assing it to get it done in a hurry, just stick a pipe wrench on it and smack that with a hammer. But im guessing you own a tape measure so that wont be necessary 😂

    B6100 w/ Loader+Backhoe

^I don't see anything but the quote there, maybe the forum ate it? :( One thing Id like to lodge a complaint about is the parking brake handle on these tractors! Look, i know what you're thinking.. And i don't blame you.. but, carrying on, it sucks because it lays basically flush to the...

Kubota b7100 FEL build on a budget

Almost there. I understand you probably want to put it into use right away, but i wouldn't pick up anything fragile with it for a while. I think some of those welds are going to break loose. Since it's not in operation yet you could try some destructive testing on the things you haven't painted...

    B6100 w/ Loader+Backhoe

More like junk collector! I never sell anything! 😂 I do have a lot of cheap old cars. My car hobby has gone almost entirely on hold since i started playing with tractors, other than cars i work on for other people. The cars under covers in those pics were cars i was working on for friends...

    L1801 hydraulics problem.

Needless to say I love what you do with actual tooling in this scenario.. my 'theory' of why this would be fairly easy on a sectional end housing is that in my mind, since the o-ring groove is already in the valve section, all you need is a flat surface to push against it. So my thought was...

    B6100 w/ Loader+Backhoe

Here's an 'in-progress' pic from around the time i was mostly done with the loader, but before i fixed up more of the body panels and started on the backhoe. I ended up swapping the front wheels side for side (to the wider setting) so that i wouldn't have to limit the steering travel so much...

    L1801 hydraulics problem.

Since the end of a sectional valve surface is a flat flange with some holes in it, i believe you would just be intercepting the neutral 'hole' before it 'dumped' into the common area in the outlet manifold. I was just suggesting that modifying the outlet housing to create a PB port would be a...

    L1801 hydraulics problem.

1 is a fair point, which begs the question of what is the difference between a simple o-ring or lip seal in a cylinder piston or gland vs on a spool valve? Perhaps a safer statement would be if a sectional valve had the possibility of PB at all, that passage exists already in the valve sections...
