Looking to buy first tractor - B26 TLB??

We like our B26. Replaced a B20 model we had for over 20 years. Tough, capable little TLB tractors with a big heart. Often used by rental companies even Home Depot. Operator friendly. How well it was maintained an issue with any used tractor. We bought ours used from a local rental company...

    Utility bucket

It’s getting close to being replaced. With trees growing, roads there is always maintenance. Been doing it for 50 years. That’s only half of buried lines. Tough terrain to dig. Do have options. New 1” pvc line laid where 1/2mile underground electricity was run that I could possibly use or tie...

Yes and a pressure tank to reduce water hammer.

    Utility bucket

3/4”. Can’t change position of spring. 1/2 mile and 275’ elevation change of main line. A trencher is more efficient than backhoe for long runs. Not too good for repairs.

    Utility bucket

Got another leak. 80 year old black iron pipe crosses under the driveway in a half mile line. Of course happens in the worst time. Studying bucket designs especially for working around utilities. Unbolted the teeth from the 12” B26 bucket. Has a flat cutting bar. Hope less chance of hooking...

Nice write up and details on a major repair issue. Good job. Wonder if the valve replacement would have had the upgraded parts?

    Diesel Transfer Tank Build

Nice tank! You going to take it to fill or have have it filled on site? Is there a bottom drain? Vent? A tank vacuum/pressure valve will help keep the condensation out.

    10kW PTO generator

Sunday fun day progress. 1.5” vent holes around the top. Rotatable prop for the lid for extra ventilation. Added an extra band of “can” material to the bottom for strength. Clamps and steel plate sandwiches the two layers. Added blocks and 2,000# locking cam clamps securely attaching the...

Kubota Says No Wheel Ballast With a Backhoe.

Probably make it more stable. Not a big fan of Ag tractor backhoes. On our hillside being able constantly swing the boom, raise or lower stabilizers from the loader facing seat a must. Use ballast on all my tractors. Even ones with a backhoe.

Need a backhoe - add one to my b2910 or get a dedicated TLB (B21)

Had many tractors. Had/have B20, B26 and M59. The TLBS are heavier, stronger and tougher than their ag cousins. Backhoes have improved a lot for ag tractors but if ever used a commercial unit it will spoil you. There are good deals and decent machine can hold or maybe increase in value...

    Potential M59 Buyer Advice

Love our M59. 90% used in 3pt mode. Powerful backhoe when you need it. Many modifications to fit our use. Emissions BS and out the front exhaust are two issues I have with the M62. I can putter around low rpm where emission tractors have to run faster. They share 95% of the parts with the M59...

Don’t think you need three cutting edges for strength. Do lose lifting capacity.

    Piranha toothbar questions

Wow! Haven’t seen the “Pro” before. They made me a custom weld on edge for a skidsteer bucket for my M59 and love it. Clears brush faster and cleaner than a grapple. The bevel on the teeth is what really pulls brush up on by the roots. Just don’t carry as good. It does dig clay so much...

Kubota Says No Wheel Ballast With a Backhoe.

Bean counter, lawyer, engineer? Who knows? Kubota doesn’t say. I use liquid ballast and wheel extensions for stability safety on my hillside farm. Local dealer puts rear ballast in every tractor with a loader. They says they have not seen a single problem or had issue from Kubota. Rollovers...

What insurance source for privately owned 2021 Kubota M62 TLB.... in Virginia?

Due diligence when I bought my M59 at a really good price I researched the seller and original buyer (landscaper) thru Kubota to make sure it wasn’t stolen. Many years afterwards before i noticed it had large letter/numerals, call sign, painted on top of the canopy. ID you can see from the air...

    b20 tractor d950-a-t rebuild

Unique to the B20 is the hydraulic pump is driven in front by the crankshaft. Not sure if the block is special. Had one for 23 years and they are tough and ever so handy on the farm. Failed injector hurt the engine and couldn’t find a replacement within budget. Sold it for 25% of I bought it...

    Telescopic sway bar

Mr. Hodge is the expert and marker of fine sway bars. Before I knew about him bought import sway bars and had to modify them to fit the M59 and B26. So far have held up to rough use for over 7 years.

    10kW PTO generator

Pretty simple if I can do it. PVC weather proof box and solid cover. Drill two 7/8” (22mm) holes. Polarized plug, Power to X1 terminals, neutral to X2. Meters only have two terminals. Strain relief clamp for cord. Same meters going on the generator.
