Is there a telescopic sway bar that will fit my old L4200? I was told the L8430 is too wide and will rub the tire. Looking for an upgrade from the turnbuckles. Thanks.

The L8430 is about as wide as the buckle on a factory turnbuckle. If your old turnbuckles didn't interfere with the tires, telescoping stabilizers should work fine.
A lot of the older L series tractors have rear tires that get real close to the lift arms.

Mr. Hodge is the expert and marker of fine sway bars. Before I knew about him bought import sway bars and had to modify them to fit the M59 and B26. So far have held up to rough use for over 7 years.

What he said. Especially with a Cat II implement on. No room for tire chains on mine if the Cat II snowblower is on the back, and you have to be real careful centering things up even w/out chains. I can barely slide my hand between the lift arm and the tire, definitely cannot w/ gloves on.
