    modified Amazon BH77 Thumb

Nothing too complicated. I have a box blade too...and wanted a rear remote set up for the thumb and box. Went to the dealer, looked at the set up on a few tractors...and did it myself for about 1k with the cylinders. Once the rear remote set up was in place, plumbed the lines down the side of...

    bh77 backhoe swing problem

I have the same issue...but also have bleed down on another cylinder and weak jerky movement on a couple of other different rams...I was suspecting the main valve block was screwed up...as it has been a problem since day one. Is there any chance that both swivel cylinders blow at the same...

Trailering with a small Dump trailer

Mini thread hijack.... Your rig have a backhoe? That is my problem...mine will not fit in a 12' bed by about 6"...and I can't find a good 14' dump trailer that I would trailer my rig on a highway with. Is your trailer a 7000 or 10000 rated? My tractor is about the same weight as...

This... I beat mine on rocks all the time...never seen that type of crack on something that thick...given that amount of breakout force of the hydraulics of yours' or mine.

    Bought a used BH77

Doesn't show how I broke into the system...but gives you some ideas. Next time I am at my place I will try to remember to get some photos of the other hoses. I set this up so I could run a TnT set up for my box blade to...so that is why the controls are where they are...I can run the thumb...

    Bought a used BH77

Make sure you plumb an extra valve for a hydraulic thumb. I got very tired of jumping on and off the BH to adjust it...went and did this. Now, it is the most handy thing about my tractor... I strongly suggest you install one.

Why is there a clutch lock on the L 3800?

If you use it in the rain, wash it extensively or left it out in the rain...engauge the clutch...slide the lock pin in...and you won't have to worry about the clutch rusting stuck against the flywheel... It should have a spring on it to auto disingauge the pin when you depress the clutch...so...

    Backhoe bucket size

I was very worried about that when I plumbed it...but not once have I caught them or snagged them. Part of the trick was I ran the lines loose with tape first...moved the arm to the extent in all directions they would go...and watched where everything pinched or could cause problems...THEN I...

You got it right...I assume you are in Placerville by your name. Give me a PM with you phone number if you have problems or questions...I have had my set up for 8 years and beat the crap out of it with no problems...except, as you will eventually have, contaminants in the main spool valves that...

    Backhoe bucket size

I broke into the backhoe feed line...and ran to a two spool valve so I can use for thumb or TnT setup with box blade... Easy to do and provides access to where I wanted the valves.

    Backhoe bucket size

Heck, I didn't even notice where you are! You guys have some of the same damn types of rock. You may want to try your bucket as others have suggested...see how your land is...and the set up. You might find the same problem I did...which is trying to get the boulders out of the trench too...

    Backhoe bucket size

I wanted a thumb...so I went with a 12". Around my place, there is alot of volcanic boulders and rock...so the bucket size matters alot. I added the hydraulics to the thumb...love that add . Great for grabbing rocks, trees, stumps and loading the dump trailer. Good luck...
