    Math Question?

You know it's a bad day when you have to break out the 4 foot big Bertha! :D We used to opt for the 3' steel wrench with a 10' piece of 4" SCH 20 with two 225 pounders hanging off the other end. Not fun, but works like a charm! :D

    Chain or gear drive tiller?

Thanks for the description, basically driven like my snowblower, but good to know! Anyone know how the brands everything attachments carries hold up to rugged soil with lots of rock? Or how other brands hold up to the same? I'm curious to hear some feedback...

B7100 with a slight mechanical issue.

I too like the title, fits your project very well. It's impressive seeing what you guys can do to these little tractors! I see some b8200's pop up once and a while for less than 2k and you guys always have me thinking these motor swaps! It's way more than I could want to or ever handle...

    BX5450 Snowthrower (w/pics)

Great post and very nice machine! I watched your video a few times over and I agree, that seems like too much play in the whole setup. Had a 36" Ariens that had a lot of play and eventually wore down the worm gear and sprocket. My Loftness has some play, like everyone already said they need...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I agree skeets, most of them are clueless as well as the feds. Although, Certified Organic, non GMO, is becoming a hot commodity for people that can afford it. Its a huge business today and I've noticed a lot of younger people swinging that way. People want to know where their food comes...

Wierd mystery out in my shop !!

I have a good raccoon story involving a dog officer my buddy is related to...We joke around about him because he thinks he's a cop and even got fired for it lol... Anywho.... A guy I used to work with owned an apartment building.... He had this coon breaking into the dumpster and spread the...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

ShaunRH, I hope you folks get out of that drought! CA has some of the finest places to grow in the country and little to no water :(. I hear if your in the well drilling business out there your doing very well! Our property in the valley has an old stone lined shallow well, 12' diameter, 20'...

    Moving snow....

Same goes for us. They were calling for 18" for us and I'll be surprised if we get 6". The coastal areas and islands of MA got hit hard especially the ones in the water. Big storm surges and 50mph winds will give the beach houses a good sandy pressure washing :p. We haven't had much snow...

    Quick Attach snow plow problems

I can understand your frustration, never had much luck with them on a small JCB fork lift.... Like Wolfman said chains will solve that problem. I was curious why your front tires were lifting while in the float position..... That a big rig and I wouldn't think 700 lbs would be too much...

    Chain or gear drive tiller?

I've been looking for a tiller also and have a few questions to add if I may... They are an expensive attachment  and we all want to buy the right thing once!:) Are the chain drives a sealed wet bath style or just under a cover and spray lubed? I haven't seen a chain driven model yet...

    Quick Attach snow plow problems

I have the same problem miniature size compared to your setup, but mine has to do with too much weight from my snowblower on the rear. In your case, I wouldn't think that 700 lbs is too much weight.... someone else could better answer that. I don't use the float position for that...

    B7100- B219 Loader Breather ???

Your absolutely right! In my world... PVC to pipe something that is dangerous, flammable, or has a spill hazard is a bad idea because it's too easy to break PVC. Therefore we are taught... PVC+OIL=NO, water only just to keep it simple... It's also highly regulated in a commercial situation...

    Turf to Ag or Industrial

I vote for tire chains in your situation, that size of tire may have some good options for a fraction of what new tires and rims would cost. You'll be surprised how much a difference chains will make! I've always been amazed of the places where loggers get those big skidders w/chains into. I...

    B7100- B219 Loader Breather ???

Your right, Charlotte pipe specs even say it does but only at a max temp of 73 deg F. I would have never guessed it was ok seeing that my code tells me not to. If I piped your oil tank to your boiler in PVC, an inspector would cut my license up lol, but Charlotte pipe says fuel oil Is...

    B7100- B219 Loader Breather ???

Interesting! I was always educated to not use PVC with petroleum products or compounds and is in a 2 code books I have that regulate its use. One example example... Rectoseal #5 thread compound says on the back of the can not to use on PVC and other plastics because it's petroleum based...

    B7100- B219 Loader Breather ???

Not putting down what you did in any way, but PVC and Oil don't mix well together. Anything petroleum will melt the PVC into the oil, take your same idea and change it out with black steel, copper, brass, or stainless steel. Galvanized pipe/fitings should also never be used with oil of any...

Food I make at home - instead of buying at the store

RCW thanks for the input, most of our old trees are at least 24" up to 3 to 4'. They could definitally be as old as 200 years by comparing them to what you stated. Road salt was always a theory of ours but we haven't lost any road side compared to trees that are nowhere near any roads... Plus...

Food I make at home - instead of buying at the store

Does anyone on here with sugar maples have a problem with them not producing sap and rotting from the inside out? I have a lot of OLD (my guess is 100+ years old) trees bordering 7 acres and they have been going dead on us. Last year we had to cut 8 down bordering a neighbors property. I know...
