    Let it snow!

We got about 10" in this last storm, calling for 2 more storms by the end of the week  The poor folks in Boston are buried to the brim, they have more than we do in the mountains! Here is a pic of one of their "snow farms" where they pile it up and feed big snow meters to get rid of it! I...

B7100 with a slight mechanical issue.

If it was me I would try the Xpando before the epoxy. If it doesn't work the epoxy will stick to the Xpando. I've never seen cast brazed but you guys definitely have me interested and motors are a whole different game than what I'm used to. Xpando is a good product but it's not an every day...

    B2410 4w 21x8.00-10NHS Front Tires

You will be happy with these tires it's what I picked up for my tractor. It has a tread pattern just like a turf tire and they do quite well in the snow...

B7100 with a slight mechanical issue.

I bet Xpando pipe thread compound would work better for you than JB weld. If you can get it into the holes, it will expand and seal it up like concrete. Made for extreme heat, comes in powder form, just mix a small amount with water to a heavy paint consistency. Try to clean the area it's a...

    Let it snow!

I'm another person you can't sell Global Warming to. Their whole fight with the "warming" is that the polar ice caps will melt and folks like me that live in the mountains will have beach front property :D. But....then we all get extreme cold weather and they cry global warming...:confused...

hints for grading and snow plowing?

Using the bucket to get unstuck takes a little practice. Had to do it a few days ago with the 2910. Roll your bucket all the way forward, stab it into the ground. Curl the bucket back while going in reverse. Vice versa if you need to go forward. Took me a good 10 tries to get me out! I...

    Let it snow!

Daren, I can understand where your coming from, VT is a costly state to live in. I've worked with a lot of guys from VT that would travel to MA for construction work in order to live the way they wanted to....I don't blame them, I worked in Boston for many years to do the same... I think good...

    Let it snow!

It's fun the first few storms. After that it gets old and just becomes a royal pain in the donkey to keep up with. A kubota with a heated cab would be the cats ass . Darren, if you came back to the snow you would get sick of it again! There are three types of people that love...

    Let it snow!

If we keep getting storms like we had in the last few weeks I'll have a glacier in my yard. Back in 09 had a glacier 8' tall of packed thrown snow. I have a tough driveway.... 3 cars wide at one end, 4 at the other... 70' long and only one place to throw it all. If I didn't have a snowblower...

    Let it snow!

So the snow has been piling up here in northwestern masssachusetts and the b7100 has been doing a hell of a job for me! We actually have so much snow I'm running out of room to throw it..... What is a guy with a little tractor without a FEL to do?.... Call in the big dogs! My...

Need advice on B6100 inside-out wheels & hubs

If it's hard to find that length of bolt you could get a stick of threaded rod (some call it all thread) and a few lock nuts. You can get that in zinc plated about anywhere including home cheapo. If you need grade 8, threaded rod doesn't have much of a shear resistance.... I'm surprised...

Need advice on B6100 inside-out wheels & hubs

If you have a Fastenal near you, try looking for what you need there. They usually carry a nice selection of hardware. If they don't have it, they usually can get it for you the next day.

    rear snow blower for b7510dt

If your looking for used, check craigslist in a max radius you will drive to buy one. If you want to go new, check with local dealers. With 17 HP PTO I believe you will be between a 4' and 5' width. Others on here could give you better feedback on that. My 4' Loftness calls for 15 HP...

    Chains with R1 tires

Othumpa, thank you for pointing that out with a price. Not as expensive as I thought they would be, but way more than I want to spend :D. I was thinking about going that way because I came across a nice set on Craigslist. Without seeing them in person being able to measure, it's tough to...

    Chains with R1 tires

I like your very last drawing, It looks like that would work nice. I was thinking of making a diamond design like these below, smaller scale of course... I have enough scrap chain to build a new set but I may buy some studded chain if I want to go all out . It's not cheap, but my...

    Chains with R1 tires

All I haves is regular barbed chains, but these companies look like they make some rugged chains. I was thinking of taking apart some old chains I have and building some diamond shapes in between the runs for side traction. Maybe they can inspire your design :D...
