    BX2601 with BX23 size tires????

You would have to get new tires that have the same relative diameter front to back as the old tires. That is so the front and rear tires will cover the same distance as you travel in 4wd. If you don't do that it will put extra wear on the drivetrain. Sorry if I'm not explaining this very...

    Loader bucket or snow pusher

Not sure how much the experience people have with snow pushers on 40+ hp equipment translates to a little 18 hp BX. Just not enough mass to move big piles of snow and not enough weight in front to windrow anything off to the side. With anything more than a few inches it's all pretty much a...

    Will it fit

Correct. I had a KK "XB" landscape rake for my BX. The 3 pt linkages were as you described... just a bit shorter so they would better match up to the "subcompact" geometry of the BX and other little tractors. The King Kutter company is still selling a line of XB implememts according to their...

Want a new tractor. Looking for suggestions.

Just bring along more frosty beverages next time. You'll think that field is smooth as velvet. 😀

Want a new tractor. Looking for suggestions.

Sound advice here, IMHO. Would only add that in a similar situation I ended up keeping - and using - both a BX and a much larger Grand L. Each had its jobs to do where the small or large size was very useful. If your budget and your space permit, that's a really good combination.

    Reliability of Land Pride tillers?

Does your MX6000 have a front end loader? If so, that's a pretty serious piece of equipment and should decapitate 18" x 10" humps like they aren't even there. Don't know how many acres you are dealing with, but that (or the dozer or skidsteer options) seem like a better approach than bronco...

    Subframe

The issue with 3 point backhoes, at least the way I heard it, was safety. To be specific, the top link. If it breaks or breaks loose from where it is attached to the tractor, the whole backhoe - including the operator's seat - is free to pivot or lift on the lower arms. If you are pushing...

    Bx2230d

Great little tractor - I owned one for many years. Would just mention that you have to rev the engine to get any useful hydraulic flow. The loader, for example won't do much with the rpm's near idle. Another tricky thing is making sure the 3 point lift lever is in the center (hold) position...

    M6800 Observation

Eyeballing the differences may not be good enough to tell you what is going on.. Find a flat concrete surface to park each tractor on, get out a tape measure and a clipboard and write down the precise height measurements from the concrete to common points on each tractor. Front and rear...

    Stimulating a backhoe

Thanks for a good Monday morning horselaugh! And by the way, nice bucket work, Dan. Who needs a backhoe anyway?

B1620 loader hydraulic hoses: PN 70050-01553 discontinued??

What Dustball said! Hydraulic lines on equipment like yours generally use commonly available hoses and fittings that can be readily matched locally. Hydraulic supply/repair places are ideal, even truck repair and auto parts places can often make up suitable replacement hoses.

    Jerky loader when lowering heavy

Do you have anything on the back to counterbalance what's up front? Getting it somewhat balanced will help a lot. Think of an orange teeter-totter with a heavy kid on one side and a really skinny one on the other.

    Cooling Problems

Ditto above comments about cleaning the actual radiator fins even if the screen is clear. Mowing brings very fine chaff onto the fins where it is not easily visible. Taking a few minutes to do this every month or so during mowing season will help keep the rad clean and cool.

    Throttle lever

On my L, the throttle tightness was adjusted with a couple of jam nuts near the floorboard beneath the instrument cluster and steering wheel. IIRC you had to get a few things moved out of the way to get at it but then it was easy to adjust. Your tractor is probably similar.

    LA211 Loader Attachment Issue

Glad everything is good. I owned a BX2230 for many years. It was a hard-working little rig that was useful for so many jobs.

    LA211 Loader Attachment Issue

Exactly! Once you get the right side raised just right, it should relieve the pressure on the jammed pin so you can remove it. Maybe some penetrating lube on the pin to help things along. I would detatch everything and start over using whatever is available to get tractor and loader aligned...

L3010 HST won't start. Battery good, starter good

Several comments about checking if the battery is bad. Unclear if you have/have not ruled that out. 12 volts with no load suggests battery issues.

    L6060 loader hydraulic issues

A couple of inches leakdown in an hour is entirely normal and no cause for concern. What could be a cause for concern is the practice of leaving the bucket elevated for a long time like that... for safety reasons. All it would take would be someone inadvertently bumping the joystick (kids...

    Which Tractor

Depending on how demanding your use of a rotary cutter might be, the extra ponies of the 4060 could really make a difference. Also the air ride seat will be appreciated on rough terrain. Otherwise they are so similar it would boil down to which one appears to be in better condition.
