Which Tractor

Looking at two used grand L. Either would work for my needs, both are $35k.

L3560 Cab (2020 year), 69 hours, 3 years left in warranty. 3rd function, no rear remotes, ac/heat, all the normal basic cab stuff, LA805 loader, appears to be in really good condition.

L4060 Cab(2019 year) 266 hours, owner thinks just a few months left on warranty, LA805 loader, no rear remotes, no 3rd function, believe it has an air ride seat(although I'm not a heavy person), ac/heat, all the normal basic cab stuff. comes with a box blade and rotary cutter(not sure on the sizes or brands yet) condition looks ok just a little dirty.

I do need a 3rd function and at least 1 rear remote(prefer 2). And I probably would eventually get a rotary cutter and box blade also if I didn't buy the 4060

Depending on how demanding your use of a rotary cutter might be, the extra ponies of the 4060 could really make a difference. Also the air ride seat will be appreciated on rough terrain. Otherwise they are so similar it would boil down to which one appears to be in better condition.

Not sure, it is at a dealer, not a kubota dealer just a small independent dealer. The 4060 is a private party.

The L4060 would be my choice. A dealer will want to make money on the tractor, whereas a private sale is less likely to have margins to worry about, and the 4060 comes with a rotary cutter and box blade. You'll have to do some research to figure out what an L4060 is worth in the used market, or at least figure out what a new one would cost. I wouldn't get hung up on the year since that's somewhat nebulous with tractors. The higher hours on the 4060 wouldn't put me off either. Both have very low hours all things considered.

I know someone who owned an L4060 but he recently moved to Spain with his wife. He loved that tractor and it served him well, although he's tough on equipment. He had a water in fuel issue that caused some problems, but once the dealer sorted it out all was good.

I don’t have much to offer…Assuming both in good condition, both machines have pretty low hours IMO. Does one have more capability for your intended uses in the future? I would tend to think most would not regret extra power. Do one or both have fluid in tires? I am not personally familiar with either but have you sat in both? Difference in seat, space or features? Or any other accessories that would be of value? Id want to check the basics which ever you make an offer on. Good luck.

Agreed. Around the end of 2019 I bought the L4240HSTC to replace the L3200HST(DIY)*C. The 4240 would roughly equate to the 4060. I wanted to have A/C and run a wider RFM. Based on information found on various posts and a gut feeling I figured the tractor replacing the L3200 should have 5 more HP for the A/C and another 5 HP to go from a 6' RFM to a 7 or 8 footer. It worked out well, and fewer hoses may not have.

The air seat is a $1000 option. The box blade and rotary cutter costs help sweeten the deal. I believe the L4060 is a little bigger frame size. I would try to buy the L4060.
