    Lowering a road - Possible?

Relocating dirt should be quite feasible. But it could be really hard on your tractor if you run into a bunch of rocks or boulders. Suggest you have a Plan B for that possibility.

New GR2120 creeps on hills - normal?

Can't improve on the explanations here but maybe you could compare it to driving a car with an automatic transmission. Nobody thinks twice about keeping their foot on the brake at a stop because the car is made to roll freely (well, almost freely) when you take your foot off the accelerator...

    BX23S backhoe problem??!!

What he said! Also, when removing loaders and backhoes you want to turn off the engine and relieve any latent pressure in the hydraulic circuits of the attachment by working all of the controls before disconnecting the lines. If you park the attachment so there is weight bearing on any of the...

    Question on steering

Yes, my Grand L had a bit of drift also - maybe an inch or two on the steering every several minutes, as I recall. And that's entirely normal with all-hydraulic steering. But your original description left the impression the drift was way worse than that... so bad that you had to keep cranking...

    Question on steering

So you are saying you must keep turning the wheel to the left as you go so it doesn't drift off into the ditch on the right? It is common for hydrostatic steering to have "a little bit" of drift, so it might be tolerable for the center steering wheel position for straight ahead to change...

    Repairing ruts in clay mud?

How you fix it depends on whether you expect to use it in the future and, if so, whether it needs to be available in bad wheather.

Can't decide on a tractor for the life of me.

Lots of thoughtful advice for the OP, who unfortunately seems to have wandered off...

    BX-2380 overheating

There was a comment about cleaning the radiator fins with Simple Green. SG is a great cleaner but has a very high pH and is highly corrosive to aluminum. Be careful using it on radiator fins.

    BX-2380 overheating

Good advice! Did this every 10 hours or so of mowing, never had an overheat event in 12 seasons of mowing with the BX.

    Using a rototiller.

You definitely want some type of protection for the tractor PTO. Slip clutch is more convenient than shear pins for sure but you do have to adjust it periodically, not a big deal. If your ground is full of rocks, you may want to back off the RPM's so there's not quite so much noise and chaos...

    Bx won't move

Glad to hear it was something simple. Good advice about that fan. If you will be going over rocks, sticks etc. adding a skidplate gives protection. Highly recommend Kubota SUDT2 hydraulic fluid, even though it is pricey. There are other good premium fluids but avoid discount store bargain...

    Bx won't move

Kind of hard to figure out what's going on if it's still stuck on the side of the pond, so first task is probably to get it up on flat ground. Low hydraulic fluid might cause the transmission to slip, especially on a really steep slope.

    BX Tires Sinking

So many BX owners leave the loader on while mowing and also leave the mower on while digging and moving material. BX's are better, more nimble mowers without things hanging off the front and back, and better at tractor chores with the mower deck removed. It's worth learning and practicing how...

    BX Tires Sinking

Your owners manual will probably have a section about weight distribution and the need for something on the back of the tractor to balance the loader and whatever is in the bucket. The reason the back tires are so much larger is because it is expected that most of the weight will be on the...

    L4560 Backhoe control valve rebuild

I also had a 4560 hoe for my L. Good old setup that never let me down. Sure sounds like yours might have something internal to the spool block but before getting into it, check the hydraulic fluid and also the lines for any kinks, bends or blockage that might obstruct flow. Never had a...

    Telescoping lift arms

Kub doesn't change the design of its 3 point components very often and Grand L's have come with telescoping links for many years. So something from an older tractor series might fit. Still pricey but probably less than new. They occasionally show up on ebay and you might have luck checking...

Transmission Case cracked on B2301 tractor

Years ago there were some Kubota models that were vulnerable to transmission box breakage from too much load or stress on the 3 point toplink. Kubota sold optional toplink reinforcing kits that added a bracket to strengthen the top of the transmission case. I put one on my L4610 since we used...

LX2610 Manual Says No Tire Fluid When Operating the Loader

Subject of endless debate. Here's another point of view. Overloading the rear wheel bearings is not the issue, it's the front axle. All or most of the weight of whatever is on the FEL is carried on the front wheels. Something hanging off the back offsets the loader weight to some degree...

    Tiller Speed?

The faster the tiller spins and deeper it digs, the more it will try to push the tractor. You'll need to try different combinations of engine rpm and digging depth to find what gives the best results with your tractor and soil conditions. In hard ground, multiple passes yield better results

    That was really bad

Glad you avoided disaster and are Ok. Such a simple thing - engage the front axle - but do it often enough and the odds of eventually forgetting/mis-engaging begin to stack up. The value of a parking brake indicator comes up from time to time in various threads... a 4wd indicator might be just...
