B2601: From New to Used disturbingly fast

Lots of folks add their own "IED armor" to their tractors for work like that, particularly if they expect those jobs to be a regular part of what it's used for. If it's a one-time thing, the alternative is hiring/renting a tracksteer or dozer to do the rough work. Just a heads up that your...

    New member / L2550 problem

I'm no expert, but many hydraulic attachments are set up so you need to jumper a line across the two hyd connection points when you remove the attachment instead of capping them. Kubota uses an "open center" type of hyd circuit that constantly circulates hyd fluid to each hydraulic function...

    L4060 hstc or M7060 cab?

One of the loader options is this: "SINGLE LVR VALVE HOSE QUICK COUPLER FOR LOADER". This $700 option apparently allows you to stand beside the tractor and connect or release all of the FEL couplers with a single lever. When the L60 series came out, there were some discussions about how this...

    L4060 hstc or M7060 cab?

It looks like that one-lever quick release hose mechanism that sticks out so much is an option. If you don't choose that option - I'm asking here - doesn't it just come with the usual Pioneer-type indivdual couplers?

    RCK54P-23BX Fitment Question

+1 B21 is a small commercial grade TLB with a permanently attached FEL. "The guy says it came off a B21" - the guy probably doesn't have the correct model in mind.

    RCK54P-23BX Fitment Question

The actual deck and its mechanicals are often essentially the same from model to model, so a 54" deck for a BX made in 2005 may be very similar to a 54" deck for a later model like a Bx2660. Internal components may even be the same part number. But things like the attachment points, the...

    L4060 hstc or M7060 cab?

The new Grand L's are about as good as it gets. Post a photo or two when it arrives!

    B2650HSDC on Hills

Lawn chairs go in the FEL bucket and it's not just a tractor, it's a go-anywhere party bus! Always thought that B3030 - B2650 cab setup was a near perfect small footprint setup.

Pics of loader used to move trees/logs

Had about a dozen of these to move when a huge old tulip tree was taken down. Pin on bucket, so no QA forks. Instead we have clamp-on forks that have worked fine with smaller logs, although I think the toothbar has kept the bucket from getting warped.

    L4060 hstc or M7060 cab?

The M would enable you to go to a bigger finish mower... even a batwing type, if you can afford one... while the L would require something smaller. On the other hand the HST on the L is about as good as it gets once you learn all it can do. The L4060 is great, but for your acreage I'd favor a...

What size Rotary mower for a BX 2370

There's probably adequate horsepower, depending on what is being mowed, but a 5 ft. cutter is pretty large and heavy for a BX. Operating on smooth, level ground would likely work, but I would think it could get kind of adventurous on slopes and rough ground.

Attaching FEL is not going right

My little BX has had a similar issue since it was new in 2005. On attaching the FEL, one pin always slips right in; the other always needs 2-3 love taps with a 2 lb. persuader. I always figured the FEL mounting brackets were installed just a tiny bit out of alignment, but it was never enough...

Bush hog bogged down L3130, won't start up

Looking back at those first pics, that looks like a recent replacement starter. Can't tell you how many remanufactured starters and alternators I've seen that were defective out of the box or lasted just a short time. If you can be sure none of those interlocks are at fault, that starter...

Bush hog bogged down L3130, won't start up

Hope it's something basic like that. That model is one of the earlier ones to have various govt. required safety interlocks, usually involving wires and switches. It's also now old enough that they can be erratic and drive you nuts. The L3130 is a workhorse, but it's heavy for its...

Bush hog bogged down L3130, won't start up

First check the obvious things. Did you disengage the PTO after the engine stalled? Is the HST pedal centered in the neutral position? Are you holding the clutch pedal all the way to the floor? Etc. While it's possible something got pulled loose at exactly the same time you stalled it, it's...

Trying to decide on backhoe attachment. Kubota or WoodMaxx? Advice?

I faced that same decision... more than 10 years ago. Chose the 9 ft. Kubota factory subframe BH, and have put it to good use ever since. Expensive, but it's a serious tool for doing serious work. Built like an M1 Abrams tank. That's what you need in a backhoe if you're thinking about...

When and how often does Kubota change model designations?

Kubota, and, for that matter, most all ag equipment manufacturers, do not use "model years" the way auto companies do. A given model of tractor may stay in production for several years and remain virtually the same throughout. In fact, asking a tractor salesman about their "2017" models...

Hydro Transmission question on a BX.

Just wanted to say if you're dismounting the tractor, relying on the HST pedal to hold the tractor on a hill is pretty risky business. If there's any measure of slope, I'll drop the loader and any 3 point attachment to the ground and/or set the brake. As others note, on level ground, the HST...
