What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Nothing today, but we're forecasted for some of the Lake Effect Wednesday/Thursday. Sounds like we're in the 4-9" range. One thing about Lake Effect is it can vary greatly. Nothing major, but snowblowing at 25* F with 30 mph winds isn't pleasing.....❄ With 30 mph winds, I'll also want to...

Harbor Freight Icon Pry Bar Made In USA! 🇺🇸

I've got my grandfather's set of 1/2" S-K sockets. Guessing 1940's (?). They were always lifetime replacement, but don't think they're even in business anymore. Never broken any but have thrown a couple sockets away as they were worn out 12-point sockets. The racket has been perfect over...

    Bugs in Fuel Line

I doubt bugs are getting in through the vent. Could be wrong. Whenever I filled my tractor, invariably there were bugs, leaves, etc. floating around. I started using a Mr. Funnel some time back. Readily available at Farm Stores, and other online retailers.

Harbor Freight Icon Pry Bar Made In USA! 🇺🇸

I have some HF stuff. Good example is their tool boxes. Got all I needed for a small fraction of a professional name brand. I'm just a homeowner mechanic. Suit my needs after 10 years or so. Seem okay - - not great but much happier with the price point. Also got a rotary hammer/ drill for...

    BX2670 Rear Fuel Filter removal

Reminded me that I’ve still got a filter relocation kit on the shelf in the garage. Now being retired, maybe I’ll put it on in the spring. Little chilly out there right now…..

    Decreasing Down Pressure 3 Point

If the link works, there's some technical drawings and photos provided by member @Dave_eng in 2021. Uses guide wheels with hydraulic cylinders. His parts start at Post #14 and after. Very nice design. Inverted Snowblower ..Yes or No | OrangeTractorTalks - Everything Kubota I'd probably...

    Daily Chuckle

Damn….. $7.49/# for turkey. My kid lives in CA. Amazing how much stuff costs there. I paid $0.88/# for our bird. Just bought a nice beef tenderloin for $15.99/#. Can’t imagine similar thing in CA.

Harbor Freight Icon Pry Bar Made In USA! 🇺🇸

I’m far from an expert. I’ve seen several occasions lately where Amazon is not the best price for several products.

    Question on holiday etiquette

That looks super! Great peel to fetch it with as well. I’ve had a lot of different pies with my fingers, but we digress…..😉

Great range. Your new one is a great choice as well.

    Weather Stations

As I’ve said before my weather thing isn’t a real comprehensive weather station. Getting so I really like it nonetheless. Found a good place for the outside sensor in a window well on the north side of the house. Just have it stuck there with Gorilla tape. It went through the “learning”...

    What's cookin' boys?

Thanksgiving always has to have gallons of turkey noodle soup to follow…..no noodles in the mix yet.

    Question on holiday etiquette

I was definitely familiar with Garland in commercial kitchens. Fed 100’s of 1,000’s of people with their equipment. Known American line but didn’t see them as often. Certainly looks stout. Many years ago I cooked about 36-30+ # turkeys for our Thanksgiving dinner at the restaurant I worked at...

    Question on holiday etiquette

Dan - really like the range also! That’s a big oven that I’m sure accommodates that very large roasting pan! While our cooking appliances are labeled “Professional Series” they’re homeowner sized with some commercial features but can’t fit the commercial scale pans, etc. I miss that...

    What's cookin' boys?

As our kids have a lot of travel for Christmas….we’re already planning for an early celebration around 12/14 or so 9 pound tenderloin in the fridge and a Concolor fir in standby.

Wood siding for new barn or something else?

@JimmyJazz - I was sure about barns and hemlock; just wasn’t 100% sure about siding. Thanks for the confirmation I was thinking correctly. I’m guessing your contractor wants the siding was treated/sealed/painted properly? Hemlock is soft like cedar but doesn’t have the rot resistance cedar...

    SUDT replacement ?

I've stuck with Kubota-branded SUDT2 hydraulic fluid and been out of warranty for many years. Just don't know enough about the product to switch with the confidence. I need to know I'm not F'n something up. Recommended product takes care of that. If I had the expertise Dan has, I might...

    BX23S Front End Loader

There has been occasions where the rear tires didn’t match - one was taller even though the same model, size, etc. The rear tires have a greater effect on how the loader sits on the ground versus the front tires.

Wood siding for new barn or something else?

Don’t know availability in NC, but I think eastern hemlock is often used for barns in the northeast. Amish are more likely to mill it here.
