    Experienced Welders...

That method has an odd history. 1 ton cube van. Back wheels were stuck. A day of fighting and sledge hammering to try and free then from the hub. Bottle jack between frame and pushed as hard as i dare. At some point i was washing my hands and water got really hot. Truck was right there and i...

    Experienced Welders...

Re: Experienced Weldors... As a matter of fact, i uploaded a video on youtube. https://youtu.be/_-yZYLaH4xA I didnt mention i drilled into the end of the air hammer Bit to make a concave. Keeps it on the stud. I tried it on a ford 5.4,no water and a gentle rattle, slowly increasing power...

    Experienced Welders...

Re: Experienced Weldors... It takes an awful lot of heat to melt aluminum in that manner. The aluminum draws it away so quickly and the coolant dissipates it. Break off a bolt below the surface that way and after welding on it, its virtulally impossible to drill. I havent welded to a...

Which of these would you choose for trenching?

It doesent take long to figure out a hoe. Regardless of the controls. There are 2 versions of the controls, ask the rental guy if it can be switched. Reason is,if you are having difficulty, then the other may be easier. Excavator controls vs. Backhoe controls. As far as digging in wet...

    What would you say....

To practically donate your machine so someone can make a profit? Strikes me as a parasite. To hire you and machine would have been a better Course of action.

    When is it time?

Not a biker. I’m sure someone is lurking around the corner waiting to run me down. Rode dirt bikes in my youth and had a blast. Dismounting my tractor is like doing a little dance, carhartts, steel toed boots and a seat that needs to go back a few inches. That coupled with footboards that...

Foam fill for gage wheels on landscape rake?

The small tires are a real pain to fix. I usually tube them. If i cant use a tube i will do my best to seal the rim,a product for sealing the bead, or when im really fed up with a leaking rim,a bead of good silicone sealant.Buddy’s golf cart had a rim that constantly leaked. I siliconed it...

    Gas getting into crank case

As mentioned, choke left on. Unless you replaced the floats, needle and seat it could be dumping fuel. It doesent take much fuel to flood a crankcase. If carb is flooding,it should pour out overflow tube. I believe that atv is gravity feed,so no fuel pump to leak fuel into crankcase.

    F150 Questions

I dont think skid pan needs to be removed for oil filter access. Take a look from under the hood. It may be easy to access from above. My understanding the box panels are spot welded, not riveted as mentioned. No bodywork. No dent repair, panel replacement only. Special repair process. Dedicated...

one hot water heater.. two buildings?

What are the low temps going to reach? That will change how this is dealt with. Run hot/cold in an oversize pipe with your heat trace. Some “pex” will withstand freezing and you want some flexibility between the 2 buildings. Not relevant, but the water line here runs under my driveway. 20”...

    Chainsaw chaps

I wore chaps only once. In the bush, chaps are cumbersome and get snagged on every little branch and twig. The pants are lighter and more comfortable, but hot in summer. The ones i have have zippers to ventilate,so it helps with the heat. I paid 100 taxes included and dont regret it for a...
