    Equipment for garage

Full time mechanic here. I beat the snot out of my dewalt impact, drill and 4-1/2” grinder. Also have a 1/4 inpact driver a circular saw and just recently a grease gun. All my 20 volt batteries are 4 plus years old. They dont like the extreme cold, and extreme heat causes poor performance...

    Darnit, there was a witness

Was unloading a car, locked up wheels. Didnt want to roll straight, slid off trailer sideways and was stuck. Had to get my forklift out and use my tractor to straighten it and get it off trailer. I was by myself and in a hurry hoping nobody witnessed it. I got lucky. Even when i had to pull...

    Car Hoist

I have a 9,000 lb four post. In hindsight i should have gone bigger. It will lift everything i need including 1 ton diesels but a slightly wider one would be better. I can do everything on the 4 post, and i use it daily as my source of income. I recently broke a cable, contacted backyard buddy...

    dismounting is not a failure

Build it to fit the 3 point. I have my shop crane set up to go on my 3 point. Also engine stand. My shop is small, and i have several out buildings. Driveway is gravel. So carrying it is the best option. Not to mention my shop crane is now off-road capable.

Tire Goop for 4-wheeler tires - thoughts?

The bigger power atv’s have a tendency to walk the tire. Due to the low pressure and rim design the rims will slip inside the tires. Tubes may help, but i have seen the stems tear off. Instant right now flat. The harder, more aggressive tires are worse. Throw in the cold weather we get up here its...

Bush Hog Brand Squealer Clipper Question.....

I just removed the shaft off my prehistoric mower, suprised i found a snap ring inside the yoke to retain pto on input shaft. I guess bolt also serves as a shear pin, and snap ring prevents pto shaft from flying off.

    Thanks YouTube

And as far as youtube goes, Chucky2009 is a putz. A good welder but should not be allowed to pull wrenches Right along with scotty and his horrible and sometimes dangerous advice. South main auto is an awesome channel. I use ford tech macalucko And 1Aauto for right to the point repairs.

    Thanks YouTube

I have had to deal with them on a regular basis. Today as a matter of fact. Worn out sockets and overtightening are the two most common causes. When installing lug nuts i run them up snug and hand torque with a Good torque wrench. No exceptions. I will also give the inside of the nut a shot of...

So what is it? root cellar?, well?,

Ice house? I only knew of one, cut ice from river and place it in a hole, then cover it in sawdust. Used right into the 70’s. Would put a bunch if dry ice in there to to keep the wet ice frozen. Mid-summmer there was still lots of ice.
