Are you happy with the hydraulic lift capacity of your Kubota?

I am happy, AFTER adjusting my hydraulics... Here is a picture of +1477.91lbs being lifted with a set of 42" titan forks. The rear of the machine was very light, I could have lifted more with the proper counter weight. I dove into the double stack on the back of my truck that weighted about...

L3010 hydraulic leak from right front wheel

Filldirt, glad to help. I've done that job at least a dozen times and its not fun. The BX's don't have that nice bearing cap to remove from the bottom so you're working in a tighter space and need 90deg snap ring plyers to get to the snap rings.... Those look like some real light duty snap...

    PRV location on a b7500

Start small, if you have a pressure gauge it will be easy to retest and ensure you don't go too high. I would start with half turn and see where you're at. I have cranked all of my machines (and friends) up beyond the "rated" factory pressure and there have been no issues except for leaking...

Tractor & Loader Weight...Too heavy for my trailer?

In addition to all above points, ESTIMATES and oem numbers are sometimes close, and sometimes they're totally off base. It never hurts to swing by a CAT scale (or local gravel pit) and find out what you actually weigh...its even better to weigh the trailer and rig empty and again with the...

L3010 hydraulic leak from right front wheel

Hey Kingcreek, when I used the word vintage I meant just a fancier word for "a period is which something is made or was begun" taken from Merriam-Webster... I have an L3710 and don't consider that machine old, especially by Kubota standards...there are plenty of machines from the 70's that...

    Tractor weight.

What type of tires do you have? Ag's will dig more than R4's for sure. Looks like your rears will hold 29 gallons of ballast each, so 638lbs of rimguard if you load them. I can't find specs on your loader weight but assume 800-1200 lbs for that. If you want to lift heavy things safely...

    Carry all question

Good question! I have a set of those and I can measure them up for you. What I can tell you for sure is that there are different widths for pallets depending on if you grab from the side or front, also plastic pallets appear to have different spacing than wood. I have some IBC totes and those...

Over the Bucket Forks for B Series B3030 LA403 Loader

Nope! You can weld a QT plate onto your existing bucket if you want to save the cost of buying a new QT bucket. http://www.ebay.com/itm/HD-5-16-Quick-Attach-Attachment-Mount-Plate-Skid-steer-Bobcat-Skid-Steer-US-MADE-/121861216447?hash=item1c5f7e98bf:g:RZ4AAOSwL7VWkY1W or...

If you're over your head and can't figure out connecting things to your battery safely, I agree the dealer is your best bet. Everyone has different levels of experience, and also comfort trying new things. Wiring is pretty straightforward as long as you don't cross wires or route them so...

Will a 72" MMM Deck work with Industrial Tires - B3030

Is the dealer saying because of tire diameter or because it will hurt the lawn? All you need to do is see what the OD is of the turfs vs industrial and if similar, I don't see why you couldn't....

Over the Bucket Forks for B Series B3030 LA403 Loader

The L2230A will pin on to your loader and give you the bobcat/skid steer quick attach which will allow you to get a real set of forks or accessories. They're about $500 from a dealer. If you're planning on using the forks a lot, its a good idea to step up to the QT forks rather than clamp on...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Rebuilt both of my boom cylinders on my L3710. It wasn't leaking when I got the machine, but I did find that if I lifted the boom all the way up, it would leave a nice puddle by the time I lowered the boom back down. The "wiping" seal in the end of the cylinder packing was bad/failing...

    Oil/filter cost - Dealer vs ?

Hokie, you have noted what I have as well. Buying fluids, in bulk, from a dealer are almost always the cheapest way to go (for OEM fluids). The gallons are pricy, 2.5 gal get cheaper per gallon and 5 gal get even cheaper per gallon. The price for a 5 gal is usually the same price as 4...

L3010 hydraulic leak from right front wheel

On those vintage machines, 90% of the leaks are at the pivot seal 060 in this diagram. they're a bit of a PITA to get out and back in. MAKE SURE TO REMOVE THE SNAP RINGS 100, 150, 080. The assembly should almost fall apart once they're all removed, or a slight tap with a rubber mallet. There...

add the thumb to titan pallet forks

I like the idea of slip on grapple, but I also would want the grapple mounted to the backplate rather than the forks themselves so I could grab larger piles of brush and such. If you look at the fork design, you couldn't get that much "fluff" into the grapple before its full.

Brush loosened an oil plug my L2950

knightgang, great to hear you're back running and things are looking promising. Hope that everything continues for you! For the "light" torque rod bolts and such, I use blue locktite on anything that seems like a "low" torque. Blue is easily removed with some pressure but will help you "hold"...

    B2710 aux lights

I would suggest using a combination of Stubbyie and Keith's wiring. I have ran direct feeds from the battery, WITH an INLINE breaker. There are nice re settable ones on Amazon for like $15 or so. You want the breaker installed close to the battery. Then run your appropriate gauge wires for...

    Anybody versed in Chevrolet trucks?

Hodge, I'm more familiar with the newer 2001+ 2500HD's but I did have a K1500 in your body style and motor as well. I believe you have hydrovac brakes on there, those master cylinders can get flaky and have all sorts of issues between leaks, spongy pedal, etc. Not saying your issue is the...
