    New Kubota or Kioti

Maybe, but there are a lot of potential energy sources that could exist 70 years from now.

    New Kubota or Kioti

Of course, the L2501 is between the BX25 and the MX. Sure, same HP, but a much larger machine than the BX25 with more displacement and more torque, more weight, and more lift capacity. No doubt the BX25 would be too small for me as well. If you need something bigger/more capable than the...

DPFs are a bit more complicated than catalytic converters.

    New Kubota or Kioti

That wasn’t my point. Reality is that the more complicated a system is, the more there is to maintain. Besides programming, will the DPF even be available 70 years from now? Fwiw, I also bought the tractor I needed. In my case, a nonDPF tractor was perfect. Bonus was no DPF.

The non-DPF ones probably will. I'm not hopeful for anything that has a lot of emissions programming.

Thanks, that helped me find their website. https://www.cleanburn.com/clean-burn-products/waste-oil-furnaces/cb-5000/. Apparently, you can buy some of their stuff on Amazon, too.

HST vs. gear drive for various types of work.

You say simply, but it's a bit more to do than just using a HST. Of course, you can do anything with any type of tractor. Not all gear tractors have shuttle capability. I think that means there is even more to do with those that aren't shuttle.

Kubota refuses to honor my 5 Year Emissions Warranty on my B3350

Show your dealer this thread. It could be they are just uninformed.

Plastic funnel fell into fuel tank - if it ain't broke, can I put off trying to fish it out?

I'd probably run it until the tank is closer to empty and fish it out.

    Covid's Back

I'm not sure what region you are in, but Covid is in all of them. ;) And ... this is just for those who are taking Covid tests. https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#maps_positivity-week

Are wheel weights necessary for “typical” work?

Most rear implements weigh something. I don't think you need the weights.

Looking at 2 new models of Kubota

That's interesting. Who told you the HST has mechanical problems? Did you do a search here to find out about them? You can change that under your account preferences ... I think.

It's ok. I hear they have no issues and nobody does any mods to them. :) Seriously. though, you could try FB or start your own.

Looking at 2 new models of Kubota

I can't think of any significant advantage for the L3302DT. Fwiw, I have a L2501HST and use it for snow when we have it. It's a DPF tractor and colder temperatures and idling aren't great for those. It would kind of a bummer to have to let it run for a while just to finish the regeneration...

    Warning: Not a Kubota problem

I don't think the tank has that much pressure. The pump does. I think any modern diesel/automotive gasket sealer that can take the heat would work.
