    FEL hooks

I was talking with a friend of mine that worked in excavation, he told me I should put the hooks on the inside of the bucket especially if I plan on pulling or lifting heavy items. If ever a chain, cable, or strap breaks under tension the bucket will act as a shield rather than it flying over...

    Trailer Hitches

Haven’t moved too much with it yet but it seems ok, at least for the two boat trailers I moved. The two braces on top helped me line things up.

    Trailer Hitches

Originally I had planned to order a pallet fork frame with a hitch receiver built in but the cost of the duty and transport was just too much, and when my dealer had a set of forks they were selling at a discount I jumped on it. I figured for a few bucks I could get someone to weld a received...

    New Trailer

I had the same idea, I have seen a few online that had something like that. The winch though has mounting points at the front and both sides so you can pull items up on the side of the trailer. So if I do that I would need to be creative with the placement and wiring.

    New Trailer

For the past little while I have been looking for a trailer to use with my B2650. I wanted something to serve multiple purposes; logging, firewood, gravel, other materials. Dumping capability and option for hauling larger loads. After reading a thread about wood chippers on this forum I...

French drain project with the new B2650

Looks like a nice job, how is the water draining now. I have a similar project to do myself, a 40x70 coverall, getting lots of water coming in from rain off the roof and run off from uphill of the building. How long did it take you to complete the excavation?

    Brush hog boom

Check out this Stoney Ridge farm Video channel, he did a couple videos on that unit with the company at his farm, and they go through it pretty fully https://youtu.be/xUfFX7NLoNo Probably costs a few bucks but looks pretty cool

Hydraulic Chute Deflection on Front Mount Snowblower

I have to agree with everyone else, my dealers mechanic told me to go aftermarket if I wanted chute deflection. He told me for less then a 100$ I could install one. Personally I have no issue with a manual chute deflection as I will be blowing the snow into a field.

    Recommendation for Canopy for L-2501

I havent bought one yet, but I have been looking at this one from Artillian for my B2650. https://www.artillian.com/product/rops-mount-aluminum-canopy/ I like the way it just clips on and off and the adjustments seem real easy too TTWT did a review of both the Rhinohide and the Artillian

    B2650 MMM and BH

Like PA452 my mower is off when I am doing other work. Typically it is on when I am mowing, otherwise it is sitting on a pallet in the coverall. They are a little harder to clip on and off but I worry about banging it on something when I am doing diet work or moving rocks and wood, so I...

    B2650 MMM and BH

I have the setup you're describing and yes with the BH77 installed the 3Pt arms are removed so the brackets that sit over them to lift and lower the MMM don't engage. I was told if I really wanted to mow with the BH installed I could get some adapter arms that would operate the mechanism. I...

Rotary cutter deal. Is it worth it?

I have an RCR1260 - I have mowed about 4 acres of 2-3' tall weeds and grass and some thicker material like burs. It has chewed through everything quite well. I originally started with it set at about 8" but after 1/2 an acre or so I dropped it down to 2" and it kept going without any issue. I...

    Kubota Super UDT Fluid

There is a good video on the Messicks that talks about hyd fluid and how there is no standard so fluid manufacturers could say it is compatible with whatever without much consequence. I wouldn't mix fluids for this reason https://youtu.be/OhVRDgD-OfQ Personally I am sticking with Kubota SUDT2...

When to use dirt after tilling?

Not sure that tilling the soil will make much difference as you wont go that deep to impact the tree roots. I would just dig the hole where you want to plant. We plant late October or end of April too, as most trees are dormant then so there is little shock to the tree. Dig the hole deep and...

    Tires???

When I bought my B2650 I had the same debate. in the end I got the R4 on my B2650 and I have done a far amount in the fields with them, so far no issue on traction even in wet grass. As long as the wheels are touching I can move. I also moved a lot of manure out of my coverall, some of it...
