    2024 Summer Olympics

Tell me you guys didn't enjoy watching the men's and women's basketball finals. Two great games! Gabby Williams on the French team almost sent it to overtime at the last second and the men had a serious battle, also with the French team.

How to store a Post Hole Digger

At our old house I did a similar 'hanging'. I was lucky, our deck was 10' off the ground.

    2024 Summer Olympics

The IBA's status in the boxing community has declined in recent years.[3] It governed boxing at the Summer Olympics until 2020, after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) suspended the organization in 2019 due to governance and finance issues. In the interim, an IOC-run task force has...

How to store a Post Hole Digger

I made a simple 4X4 frame at the edge of the woods. Granted not mobile but simple and it works. At the top of the 4X4's there is a bracket that a 2X4 slips into. \ Just back into the space with 2X4 removed and phd high enough. Then slip in 2X4, lower phd onto it. It made connecting /...

    Radio ID

well it sure looks like a motor driven variable inductor. Collins did make a load of radio equipment for aeronautics and for the services. Probably part of some tuning circuit.

Photo shoot anything lately? Random Photo Thread

It's the ride of a lifetime. I wanted to do it again but waited too long. Sold my last bike (FJR1300) a few years ago. It would have made a good ride there. I took 18 days, 13k miles. If I could do it again I would take 6 weeks. Alaska is a big state.

    Suicide

A lot of good guessing. If, as the op said, it was standing off for 10 minutes then I would concentrate on wires that are live when the machine is off. That big red fatty would be the first place I'd look to see if you could determine if something cut through it. Of course, as others have...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Had 21t of fill delivered and spread almost all of it. The border of our lawn and woods is was fairly steep. That where any vehicles, including the tractor, travel to get to the back of the property. It was always a pucker moment when carrying anything heavy on the fel, no matter how low it...

    Daily Chuckle

We have a former railroad trestle not far from our house that was hit at least once a year. The railroad finally raised the bridge a couple of feet. Shortly after it became 'rails to trails' pathway. Nothing like what this guy has recorded in NC! Crashes!

Knee Surgery, have it done while insured or while on Medicare?

I agree with DustyRusty on waiting as long as possible before drawing down on retirement accounts. I took a different path on when to start receiving social security. iirc I was eligible at 66 . My good friend tried to convince me to wait till 70-1/2. I did the simple math. It would be until I...

Thanks for reviving this VERY old thread. We moved last year and I have been doing a fair amount of planting. Got to read through everything again - some great ideas here for the new place!

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

lol, Thanks - every time I think about a bigger tractor reality sets in. Mine is too heavy for the lawn. . . It's a problem going into the woods and turning in some areas. It bogs down in the mud. I don't think a bigger / heavier machine will help :( I do yearn for more lifting power in the...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

started to harvest some large potatoes to place near the I-Beams. Hopefully will add some mass to holding them in place. 1st one was a hefty. Had to drop it and reposition the tractor - couldn't move it through that mud n up the bank. At the second beam
