Just shot a video of my little 18hp at the crank BX blasting through 14 - 18" of snow. I was nervous when I bought it that it may be under powered for taxing implements like a blower. After 300 hrs I'm still so happy I didn't spend more for additional HP though that money would probably come back in terms of resale. Good thing I'm holding on to her!

My snow blade has worked just fine the last two years, but this year would have been nice to have the blower. I'm quickly running out of room to push snow! My driveway walls are 3' tall and growing! Something on my list to add for implements.

We just picked up another 4" last night and another foot is on the way tonight through Monday. So glad I bought it because when we get hit like this (almost 3 feet in one week) finding it a home with the loader took forever.

RCW The cab does make a huge difference. I can't imaging how much you get in the face when it's light snow.

I am surprised at how much quieter the hard cab you have is over my Original Tractor Cab soft cab.
But for $900 the soft cab was worth it. I can usually work with just a sweat shirt on.
Nice video though. I should try to post one to compare the noise difference.

I run my 2370 at about 3100 rpm. What is your tractor at in the video?

I've taken some steps to make the cab quieter including filling the ROPS with foam and replacing the factory floor mat with a 1/2" thick replacement. While you won't find me falling asleep in there it's better than it was.

I was only running mine at 2,500 rpm which is where I usually keep it. I get all I need for throwing distance out of the blower at that RPM.

I made the cab from scratch for about $600. It comes off with 4 nuts in the front, 2 pins in the back and one electrical plug. Takes about 3 minutes to remove or install if you have two people to lift it off. Takes me 15 min to winch it up if I'm alone. I put together a build thread here:

Won't get anything in the face today - calling for 6-10", real wet and heavy.

So disappointing here in northwest Pennsylvania. My tractors needs a fuel change due to lack of operation from no snow. The good news is, the motorcycles will get an early flogging.

Same in eastern PA. I'm jealous of all your snow, we had a dusting 2 months ago, and 3" of slush last week, but that's been the extent of it. I just keep tinkering with the machine making enhancements until it really does snow.
