    F##kin FORDS!

Good ole boat anchor 390. I had one in a Cougar GT. I was a dope and built it like a road race car. Lotsa fun but just a nightmare on the street for any practical use. Good times……. My buddy’s brother has an orange Judge (I think it is technically called red). Spotless example but I don’t...

    F##kin FORDS!

I never had anything that long so I wouldn’t know what that’s like. I always think I’m going to keep ‘em but then move on to something else.

    F##kin FORDS!

Nice! Never had a TA or Camaro. The GN, an ‘86 K10, ‘64 Impala SS and ‘08 Silverado were my only non-beater GMs. I sold my Boss a few years back and it’s one of my only car related regrets. I bought the Boss from Texas. The dealer offered cheap shipping but I drove it home instead. I love a...

    F##kin FORDS!

Yeah, I’m not paying $90k for a truck. That’s why I bought mine when it was 10 years old (from Arizona with 60k miles). I’m a bit of an addict and tend to get something new (to me) every few years. I’ve also had many ‘67-‘68 Mercury Cougars, a few F100s, an ‘09 MINI JCW, ‘04 VW R32, ‘13 Boss...

    First CUT LX2610 HSD

I don’t have filled tires but would not under any circumstances use calcium chlorate. Eventually it will cause corrosion to your rims. Beet juice would be the way to go to avoid that issue……olis I think it weighs more per gallon. If you are where it freezes the block heater is a cheap add on (I...

    F##kin FORDS!

Ahhhh, my ‘87 GN was one of my favorites. It didn’t take much to make it a beast. In keeping with the thread theme I have always been partial to Fords and have no regrets owning my ‘10 Raptor. Ecoboost? Pass.

    First CUT LX2610 HSD

If you don’t mind the wait then have at it but did you call to other dealers that are a bit less local? They may not have everything you want but might have the tractor, loader and backhoe ready to go. It seems that some areas are barren and others have a ton of stock. Good luck and congrats...

    LX2610 Bucket Size, Too Large

I have the big tire option on mine and the 60” is about the same width as the tractor. I’m not sure 3” on either side would bother me. If it bothers you maybe someone local would trade.

    Hyd oil

I’m Italian so I just rub it on my forehead before installing.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Just missed out on an 8” Woodmaxx chipper deal. Only 2 hours away too.

$500 for Quick Attach Bucket? Buying B2601 in a few hours)

Get the quick attach. It future proofs the purchase. You likely will have the tractor a long time so what you don’t think you need now may later be a necessity. Just mentioning clamp on forks has me thinking the QA is a no brainer.

    L2501 HST 4x4 transmission/hydraulic fluid question

For 50 hours I believe the manual just calls for a filter swap but I’d be changing fluid as well.

Any dealers on here? Credit requirements for 0 down 0%

Can’t tell ya’ exactly. When I did the online application it came back in a few minutes and said I was approved. I just assumed that meant I qualified for their offered terms.

    Vernig Grapple Issue

Ok your arms are several inches clear when the grapple tines ends are level-ish. It is clearer in this pic. That is better (I guess) but here, kinda, is the point I was sorta going after. On the Virnig when the tines are in a similar position/angle the loader arms are 1” clear of the ground...

    Vernig Grapple Issue

Ok, sorry I posted my opinion and used a pic from the internet of something I do not own to illustrate my observation and even said “seems” implying that I’m not sure. OP is not gonna accomplish his goal with the EA either. It may float without the loader arms touching the ground and without...

    Vernig Grapple Issue

No. I have a different setup. Just looking at the pic the issue seems similar to the OP’s concern. if you rotate it forward then it does get the loader up but then the angle of the tines would tend to make them dig a bit or if not tilted enough then sled over twigs/smaller sticks. To rake I use...

    Vernig Grapple Issue

Unhook the latches before lowering all the way to the ground then tilt just a bit so the grapple pivots at the top lip away from the bottom latch area. That should get the bottom of the loader out of the way so you can lower the grapple to the ground flat. Think of it as just the reverse of how...

    Vernig Grapple Issue

Doesn’t this look like the same issue? If the teeth are flat to skim like they would be in this pic then the bottom of the loader arms would be in the dirt as well. To tilt the grapple forward so the arms are clear would create the same grapple digging in problem. Unless I am seeing this pic...

For reference this is about the max for an LX to lift/move.

CUT for timber clearing, plowing, grading

For a CUT first narrow it down to what size will work best for you. B/LX/L? With a backhoe and FEL you are limited to the B series for $30k-ish…….not limited as in “bad” just limited as in that is the best option to keep to your budget. Without you can get an L/LX with FEL and a grapple then...
