    DIY BH77 Install Journey

Went to remove my tire today and realized I didn't have a 22mm socket for the lugs... Oh well, it's cold and rainy here in MI today so I'm not too upset. The tire jack does work very well and can lift the rear end of the tractor by itself (not that I would go that route).

A Kubota engine in a Saturn

That's every politician that didn't already come from a rich family. The oligarchs pay them to represent corporate interests via legal *cough*bribery*cough* lobbying.

    DIY BH77 Install Journey

I am still in shock and awe that I bought this tire jack on eBay for $150. This thing is SOLID - weighs about 200lbs. Looking forward to removing my loaded tires with ease.

    Love to smack a plumber

On Terry Love forums they always recommend tape+dope for threaded connections (Blue Magic is my go-to). Good job and an easy fix. +1 on the special unions for the HW heater

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Had no idea cattle were so complicated (and destructive), thank you for the education!

Gotcha, thank you. That's a genius way to recycle old tires.

Is that a makeshift geo grid for ground stabilization? If not, what is the purpose? Reminds me of those stabilization grids they place under driveways that keep the stone from shifting/washing out.

    Shelving ??

Ahhh, good old raw material inflation jacked the price up 🙁 still cheaper than Home Depot though so that's a bonus

Now rent a plate compactor and hit the drive when it rains and you're good to go for a long time. Looks great, I dig the color on the barn.

    Shelving ??

They are extremely solid and can be bolted to the floor as well. $199 CAD?? Back when I bought them all, they were roughly $130-150 USD so at $199 they're a bargain.

That reminds me of when I had a set of MT 35s delivered to the house. The FedEx driver rolled them out of the truck and one rolled into and smashed our 3x4" downspout. The driver drove away without saying a word to me and I ended up outside about halfway through the unload to help out...

    Overheated, now won't start.

Does the starter solenoid engage when you turn the key? Does the crank pulley turn by hand? (With a socket/ratchet) What does the oil look like? What does the coolant look like?

https://www.qtponline.com/products/seat-cover-for-grammar-models-maximo-primo-54853.html There's a few companies that come up searching for grammar primo covers, these look like ballistic nylon - sadly, no camo 🙁

+1 Costco also sells these pretty cheap. We have about 7-8 of them in total between the basement and the garage. They are mfg. by Edsal I believe - if you end up with extra pieces and shelves from "customizing", both Lowe's and HD can special order add'l pieces to make extra shelving units...

    DIY BH77 Install Journey

Always good to have an extra 2x4 handy! I ended up using a 10' strut channel to use as a lever to get my jacks out from under the BH pallet 😂 I will definitely not do that to the BH itself. I think the cart will help tremendously in this area with lining things up and tweaking. Thank you sir...

    DIY BH77 Install Journey

I didn't update this thread with progress and did in the "what did you do to your Kubota today?" thread. So here goes: Picked up yesterday, fit in a 5x9 single axle. Drove it to the house, maneuvered into the garage so I can uncrated it. Installed the longer Joysticks Installed the...

    DIY BH77 Install Journey

Agree, my LX could lift the crated BH77 with bucket about 1" off of the ground to move around and I could feel the back getting light. This was with a woods 54" box blade ~500lbs and the pallet cart it sits on ~150lbs still attached via straps. Honestly I was surprised I could even move it at...
