Gave the yard a go over with the core aerator after rolling it yesterday. Need to pressure wash and grease it before it goes back into storage.
Which aerator are you running?

Forgot about lights, I do need to snag a light bar and some floods for the ROPS like I did on my ZTR.

I got this seat cover by Durafit, try reaching out to them to see if they make one for the mini.

Edit* this one MAY work:

I don't think it would work for my machine being a cabbed version. The grammer seat is much thinner.

There's a few companies that come up searching for grammar primo covers, these look like ballistic nylon - sadly, no camo 🙁

Haven’t had any major projects lately but have had a lot of small miscellaneous stuff that kind of adds up to a few hours with the tractor. This afternoon was pretty typical. After church and lunch, was sitting by the pond with my wife. The area where the chairs are has a little clearing to the water and not only were a few weeds and saplings starting but, as I was thinking I should get the weedeater after them, I got to noticing there were a bunch of sweet gum saplings starting about where the stump is in the below pic and they were getting big enough I didn’t like them. Below is about half done.

Installed the new Piranha tooth bar yesterday. Today was first day using the bucket with it. It still carries tools and supplies quite nicely.

Would have been nice to run over the whole mess with the bush hog but the pond is pretty deep through part of the area we were working on, I don’t trust the bank but so much, and I’m NOT ending up with the tractor in the pond.
4D388CCD-CAF9-4174-B06D-05DC6E591B5D.jpeg

Wife assisted with running the saplings through the chipper. We also ran some of those ubiquitous thorn vines through it. The kind that has leathery leaves and the vine part has the tensile strength and cut resistance of 0.155 weedeater line plus the thorns to make it even more attractive and endearing. Hadn’t tried that before. Worked quite nicely.

When we were ready to move to clean up a small brush pile left for later about a month ago, saw a regen was in process. It was doing it on its own so I just left it wound up and let it run while we moved.
3A42076C-1E15-41E6-871A-DAB5AFEA2E59.jpeg

End result was about 100’ of additional bank cleared of gum saplings.

Considered poking at the old pine stump with the tooth bar to see if it was up to cutting some of the exposed roots but figured that’s for another day when the chipper isn’t part of the maneuvering in tight quarters.
0C91EEF5-17EC-4817-8300-3F0AE4329CEE.jpeg

After that, we moved on to the remains of a little brush pile comprised of the remains of a small pine beside one of the trails. When it fell, didn’t have much time so cleared the trail and figured we’d finish cleaning up later. Today was later.
C66FCB3B-A5FA-4168-9F10-831B1945E159.jpeg

It was just the top of one 75’ spindly Virginia Pine so it didn’t make much of a pile of chips. Still, needed some chips for a bush, so got about 1/2 a bucket of chips and spread the rest out where they were. The Piranha did a swell job cutting into the fresh chips. Of course so did my boot when I kicked the remains around to spread them out. No real test for the Piranha today.

So the aforementioned bush…

A few weeks ago, removed about a half dozen scraggly old azalea bushes from beside the unoccupied house. They were all about 25 to 30 years old, not very large, and performing so poorly I didn’t know what color they were because I have NEVER seen them bloom in the 28 years I’ve lived here. So I had popped them out one at a time with the grapple and carried them off to this dump area. Never touched them or got out of the operator seat. As the pic above shows, there’s a pile of biodegradable junk too big to chip, a small brush pile we’ll chip someday, and a few old azalea bushes, roots and all in the middle.

One of the bushes was laying there in the pile with a few rotten fence slats on top of it. Leaves stayed green and for the first time in at least 25 years, it bloomed right there in the trash pile laying sideways with the rootball exposed.

Out of respect for its tenacity, dug it out of the trash pile, planted it beside the pond, and dumped the chips around it. If it lives, it lives. If it doesn’t, we’ll grapple it back to the trash pile.

Pulled the snowblower and subframe off last weekend, and installed the FEL. Today I pulled off the pine needle rake, and 3pt attachments, and installed the BH77.

You're gonna love that Piranha. Where the straight edge of the bucket used to serve as really good brake, it'll now tear up roots and most anything else in that tractor's way. Very pleased with mine, just not the packaging it came in nor the performance of the delivery. In the end, Fed-Ex wound up paying more for the repairs to my front porch than the Piranha cost me.

Second project with my new to me l305dt was making access to the back lot of my property next door. This ramp is temporary so that i can hopefully start receiving fill dirt and will eventually build permanent access along the fence line. Baby steps. I must say, life is better with a tractor!

When I ordered mine, I remembered your posting about Fed Ex damaging your Trex type steps on your porch (I might be off on the details but that’s what I recalled when picking a shipper). Paid about $12 extra to have it delivered by UPS. All went well.

So, thanks for sharing your misery. May have saved me some. 👍

I have the same Piranha bar and love it. Works well when I get stone delivered, helps get "into" the pile easier and I dug a trench with ease for an 80' French drain a while back.

Luckily I don't recall any delivery drama......

Speaking of getting stone delivered, I need to call about getting ~10yds delivered.....

Friday, sewer line turned into a fiasco. Turns out that the building had a perimeter drain the I had to dig next to. Created quite a mess. We finished at 9:45 pm in the dark. It turned out well (from what I could see with the lights in the mini). Didn't get a whole lot of pics because we were in a hurry to complete the job before rain was coming.

Very impressed with the U-27. It was able to pick a very large chunk of concrete and loaded on the dump truck. I wasn't sure it would work, but it did...it struggled but accomplished the task. Very powerful little machine.

Went out to the farm Saturday. Changed the air filter. Got about 2/3s of the mowing completed when everything came to a crashing end. Looked back and was missing a little piece of the mower.

Had to make a quick trip to Farm and Home and pick up a replacement pin to be able to finish. Decided that while I was at the store to pick up a little Loctite to try to prevent this from happening in the future.

They really don't like wearing any hard hats but at least these stay on their head. For the type of work that they do (always being bent over) the chin strap is a requirement. (y)

That reminds me of when I had a set of MT 35s delivered to the house. The FedEx driver rolled them out of the truck and one rolled into and smashed our 3x4" downspout. The driver drove away without saying a word to me and I ended up outside about halfway through the unload to help out.

Thankfully, I have a buddy that works for a franchise out of state and he told me how to file a claim. I had to be persistent, but they cut me a check for the damages. That same driver showed up a few months later and apologized to my wife and said they had no idea they damaged anything... 😑

10yds of 3/4 gravel dumped today.........

Needed to start spreading things around the Morton......and I needed some gravel in between the large retaining rocks. Only used about 1/3 of the pile so far. More to do tomorrow.

The B2601 does a good job, not going to lift 1000s of lbs but it does a good job with a solid bucket of rock as long as I do my part and go slow and smooth.

Now rent a plate compactor and hit the drive when it rains and you're good to go for a long time.

Looks great, I dig the color on the barn.

Not a bad idea once I get it all spread......

I will pass along your compliment on the color to my wife......she chose. I figure it was a good deal, I get the building I want and she gets to pick how it looks, therefore she will never complain about my poor choice. And she nailed it......

Spread another 3 loads of 2 1/2" crusher run which came to 53 tons for $572. I changed to the larger stuff because it's about $5 a ton for material cost. 1 1/2 is about $10 a ton and 3/4 is about $15 a ton so I never buy it. Up to 16 loads so far for my new house build.

I think these size rocks may be a little big for a land plane which I want, but I make it work with my box.

Wish prices were like that around here! Talking $30/ ton at best.
