    Fuel on angles

Just a curiosity questions, my new m5n-091 is great but if it's at 1/4 of a tank of fuel or less it will run out of fuel when tilted left. Not a big deal but is this a common kubota thing?

    Issue in deere tractor....again.

They pressurized the cooling system to test for a head gasket leak. It only dropped 2psi which is so small it's likely a connection in the tester. The pressurized cooling system didn't push fluid into the cylinders or anywhere else. As far as any of us can tell there is a different source of air...

    Issue in deere tractor....again.

There's no contamination of either fluid so I think it's the gasket. It was occasionally idling funny last year so I'd say it's been going on a while. I changed the oil and it was clean. Fun fact is that tractor holds about 5.5 gallons of oil, I found that out one year when I only had one bucket...

    Issue in deere tractor....again.

It's already at a repair shop lol. My dad called it was bad enough that as soon as you turn it on it bubbles like crazy in the overflow and the level goes from nearly empty to full. When you shut it off you can hear the air leak out and the fluid run back down in. Hopefully they don't break it...

    Issue in deere tractor....again.

That is the top of the radiator, alot of tractors have that expansion bottle as the top of the rad. It has a pressure relif cap and hose on it. Unless theres another cap but I didn't see it

    Issue in deere tractor....again.

Would the bandaid last at all? Atleast enough to keep using it just doing light work until we get it in a shop. I wish I knew how to do that level of work to an engine but I'm not there yet

    Issue in deere tractor....again.

Theres the video and actually I had valve guides done on an engine which was 5k Canadian. So if I send it to deere it's atleast 10k I'm sure but the next door mechanic shop probably 2 to 3k

    Issue in deere tractor....again.

It has no other symptoms except that bubble. No power loss, nothing so definitely nothing more than a gasket. I attached a video the only other thing is almost every coolant line is leaking at the fittings. Ok I'll try to attach a video i mean

    Issue in deere tractor....again.

My one deere tractor appears to have the stream of bubbles sign of a bad head gasket thing going on. But with no other symptoms such as white smoke or cross contamination so I'm not sure. Anyone know if the head gasket repair stuff actually works for small leaks? Or am I doomed to a 10k repair...

    Getting started welding

It's an extremely useful skill the you will get a feel for after a while but it will be annoying at first. You will burn yourself from time to time and probably catch on fire atleast once but it's all fun :)

The perkins diesel mystery may be solved after years.

A dipstick and tube from an engine built in 1980? Also I think they welded the tube to the base of the block when it broke so I'd have to see if I can even get it off

The perkins diesel mystery may be solved after years.

Closest I could find for this old engine was posts online of people who had the same engine. They did not specify the type of gallon, although if I remember correctly the serial number put it to be made in the UK

Old ford pump got some wear

We left one our water pumps to a friend last fall for an emergency as his frost pump sheared the shaft off. Diesel engine and he had to almost full throttle it to do the job as it's not a high pressure pump and he needed high pressure. It had to run like this for days in end but survived and...

The perkins diesel mystery may be solved after years.

Going by the capacity I could find online which was 2.5 gallons... far less than I had been putting in it with the funky dip stick does appear to line up almost perfectly with the old mark on the inside of the pan

The perkins diesel mystery may be solved after years.

I'm assuming the dip stick was bent so it rubbed on the edge of the pan. The dipstick is original I think it's the tube that's messed up. At the level of the dipstick now the crank would be coming down into the oil quite a ways

The perkins diesel mystery may be solved after years.

We bought a used perkins diesel a few years ago and put a water pump on it. Had to have the valve guides redone but nothing major. Always ran great but would somtimes build sump pressure under high load and burn oil over time. I had noticed the dip stick had broken off and welded back on before...

Any farmers here with bad sleep disorders? Or just me?

I loved going to the gym, usually held me over for the winter. But covid killed that for this winter unfortunately. Weight loss would be great if my body ever told me I was full. Literally if I did not hold back I could eat until I threw up and still be hungry.
