    L185 ignition switch

Do you still have the old piece of key? You could try a tiny drop of Super Glue to attach the old piece then pull the rest of the key out - don't try to turn it, just pull straight out. Didn't work? All is not lost. Most tractor switches are expensive because they're not real common with...

    Mower mount issue

I know nothing about a mid mount PTO shaft. I do know a regular rear mount PTO shaft is kind of keyed. It will only go back together if properly aligned. Since there are only three splines it's not a difficult matter to see which one is the odd one and align it. If you're unaware of the...

    L2501, slopes, and sanity-check

To improve side to side stability with the L2501 the wheels used with ag tires offer three ( I think it's three ) different positions for width. The tire center is separate from the rim holding the tire and the adjustment is made at their junction. This could preclude the need for wheel spacers.

    L2501, slopes, and sanity-check

You probably have to answer your own questions. I thought I'd get the L3901 until I learned it had a diesel particulate filter. That - not the price difference - sold me on the L2501. I don't have a flail mower, mine is a five foot King Kutter rotary mower. I do pull it up hills similar to...

Cell Phone mounts - Need Ideas

I keep my cell phone in my pants pocket. I can't hear it ring or vibrate if I'm on the tractor - suits me. The phone is for my convenience not somebody else's. I wouldn't talk while using the tractor anyhow.

Buying a new BX23s and need advice on snowblower options

Perhaps he's having trouble moving rear snow blowers or maybe he's stuck with one nobody wants. Stick to your guns. Find a different salesman. I don't believe I'd want a rear blower either for a driveway that long!! You could always get a rear blade if you want to attack snow backwards.

    BX22 Vibration in Floor Board

I can't provide any wisdom - don't know enough about it. You say you were just riding along. Could the vibration have been related to the HST drive? If it happens again try changing the forward speed and see if the vibration frequency changes. Change your engine rpm a bit and observe...

    Big Bang

Okay, you're kinda weird - or not. I checked out the video and of course in the process checked out a couple others. Now I know there are several theories of how the universe came about and with all the brilliant minds out there we still don't KNOW. It's all theory. Since I won't be around...

    What tractor do I need?

The L2501 CAN handle a five foot tiller - the power is there - but a four foot tiller may be more appropriate. It does have a bit more power than my old Mitsubishi D2350 and the old Mitsubishi had no problem with my tiller in virgin ground. You just go slow. I was going to purchase the larger...

    Just gota vent

The utility company should be able to provide a breakdown of those fees upon request. They may include meter reader fees, line maintenance, taxes, etc. You may need to speak with a supervisor but the information is available. It may not reduce your bill but you'll know where the money went -...

    Pricing

If the package is new from a dealer I'd guess around $24,000 - $25,000. Be advised that the price will vary somewhat from dealer to dealer. Nothing is really cast in concrete. The 2WD model goes for a bit less as does the non HST version.

    L2501 tach cable part #

I looked it up in the Kubota parts list which also showed two different part numbers and gave no clue which was which. At least the Messick's page shows one has replaced the other. If the length is the same the same tack cable should work on either type L2501.

    HST Whine Noise

As far as I know it won't go away. It is supposed to get quieter with use. I've read on the forum that the newer Kubota hydraulic fluid (SUDT-2?) Is supposed to do wonders for reducing the whine. On my tractor it seems to be worst in high rangel

    Moving wheels out?

Look carefully at your real wheels, then your operator's manual. My L2501 has a couple of options for mounting the rear wheel differently on the center to get extra offset outward.

    Woods mower PTO shaft issues

Try a light coat of grease on the PTO on the tractor side. A bit of light oil or WD-40 on the button will help, too. Work the button several times before attempting to connect the shaft. Putting the old PTO shaft onto the new tractor the PTO splines will have less wear and alignment will...

    Ky Kubota L2501 Pricing

Multiple independent dealers does give you a few options. I live in southeastern Washingto (the state) and the Kubota dealers for a couple hundred miles are owned by the same company. The same is true of the New Holland dealer. This is also true of the Yanmar dealer, who also handles Case...
