    Snow tires

Just used the LX2610 for its first major work out clearing the snow from my 4000-foot driveway. Just had the front mount blower and scraper blade on the rear and no ballast in tires. Very impressed with the handling of the R14 tires. Seemed to stay on track better than the B7200 with turfs.

    Snowblower help

I agree that the coupling looks very worn. Mine is new and the design of the coupling has angled mating surfaces that draw the coupling together when turning force is applied. If there is enough wear in the entire assembly it could easily slip and cause noise. I think these two pieces should be...

    Snowblower help

There should be a cover with four bolts over the drive connection area that can be removed to check the operation of the engagement leaver and the integrity of shaft connection coupling without removing the blower from the K member.

    kubota grey paint

Took a part of my 3ph to an automotive paint supplier and they mixed up a rattle can for a good match and less than half the cost of the dealer. In the past I have purchased rattle cans from the dealer that were defective from age and low turnover. I have spray equipment that I use when painting...

    LX3310HSDC brake longevity

Was wondering that myself as mine has a bright light for the brake. I think that this might have been recently added as were the led lights on the cab model.

    Automating SSQA

I have to physically hook up the hoses for the grapple to operate so still have to get off the tractor.

Chute rotation on front mount blower.

Thanks again everyone. As said before I was mostly concerned that the loader would not operate correctly in the spring. Chute rotate is no issue as seldom used as compared to bucket curl.

Chute rotation on front mount blower.

Thanks, The third function has two solenoids that are actuated by rwo pushbuttons on the control stick. Not sure if that is enough info.

Chute rotation on front mount blower.

The loader on my B7200 is not a Kubota and has a 3 position valve with two position bucket curl. In 1985 Canada did not import the Kubota loaders yet when I purchased it. What is the purpose of re-generative? Not that I plan on doing so but what would happen if I connected the chute rotate to...

Chute rotation on front mount blower.

Thanks for the reply. So the loader curl will operate correctly for L1 and R1 operation. My B7200 does not have this situation since it only has a single right position and the chute rotation used a cylinder. No big deal with the blower but was concerned that the loader might not work...

Chute rotation on front mount blower.

I have a new LX2610 with a front mount LX2963 blower. The joystick control operates the chute rotate which utilizes the same operation that would be used for the loader bucket curl operation. The rotate left operates fine but for the rotate right I have to go past the R1 position and snap the...

    Automating SSQA

Going to put a simple linear motor on mine as well. Just installed one for the chute deflector for my new blower so I already have the switch and wiring installed. Could use my third function but no good when using grapple. Still have to get off of my bum to hook up hoses.

80 foot trench for propane line

In truth we may not have any other real options than propane. The heat pump idea leaves me cold (so to speak)... I would certainly recommend propane as a heat source. I have a 30 x 52 shop with a second-floor loft that I heat with a propane on demand wall hung boiler. Great for zoning separate...

Saying thanks for all the help I got here

Finally, someone else with over 4000 feet of driveway to clear. Not sure who has the most amount of snow though. Thank goodness we are not east of Lake Erie like Buffalo is.

    Hydraulic chute build

You are doing a great job. My new blower has the identical chute rotator from the factory and even it rotates faster than I like so I might eventually install a restrictor in the lines as well. I might also say that mine does not rotate all the way and just stops where the teeth stop. Does...

    Snow tires

I have been considering putting studs in my R14 tires as I have a long hill that can get icy. In the past I have just put down sand but doing that can get sketchy at my age.

    Auger grease Lx2963 snowblower

On my LX2963 blower I use moly grease for the auger shafts that do not move but have to be kept lubricated in case the shear bolts break. On the end bearings I use "wheel bearing grease. I have two grease guns, one for moly and one for the wheel bearing grease. I would have no issue using moly...

Killing the battery instantly on starting

Had this exact situation with my 7200 a few years back. Cable had corroded on the inside and would allow voltage to be read at the starter but when trying to start, it could not pass the current. New cable fixed the problem. The old cable appeared perfect on the outside.

What do you use for snowblower shoes?

I use wheels instead of shoes on my gravel driveway.
