What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I installed my granite front steps with my Kubota BX1860. Really impressed with this little guy! Moved a stone weighing ~1,200 pounds and then lifted to a height of about 16" to set it into place. This is probably pushing the limits of what this tractor can do (lots of weight on the Heavy...

    Quick Hitch and Heavy Hitch

Hi- I have a Kubota BX1860 and have a question; anyone know if a Land Pride QH05 will work with the Heavy Hitch drawbar with the offset weight bracket? Thanks for any info!

    Cleaning Black Plastic on Fenders

Following up here, I used a heat gun (aka, my wife's hair dryer) and then followed that up with WD40. Worked pretty well and removed all of the adhesive. I did find out that one of the live guides is cracked near the PTO selector; enough so that putting a new decal on isn't real easy without...

    Cleaning Black Plastic on Fenders

Thanks for the info. all! Based on the condition of the decals on the tractor, I believe the previous owner had it out in the sun more than it should have been as many of the decals are peeling and some of the paint is faded. I will be keeping the tractor in the garage when not in use, so...

    Cleaning Black Plastic on Fenders

Hi- Many of the decals/stickers on my new-to-me BX1860 are starting to lift off of the black plastic lever guides on both fenders. I've gone ahead and ordered the replacement decals but am now wondering how to remove the old decals and adhesive residue to ensure the new decals will stick and...

Installing Lower Radiator Hose Heater in BX

ThatÂ’s for sure; not much room at all! I may take it out and reinstall sometime as IÂ’m not 100% satisfied with it right now. Since itÂ’s still warm here in VT, it remains to be seen how well it will work.

Installing Lower Radiator Hose Heater in BX

My understanding is that the block heater, once installed in the BX1860, hits the muffler. The lower radiator hose heater is what Kubota says to use for this tractor. I gave it a try today...it’s tight, and was a pain in the butt, but it’s now in. No leaks thus far and tractor temp seems...

Installing Lower Radiator Hose Heater in BX

Hi- After a bit of research I've concluded that I need to install a lower radiator hose heater instead of a block heater in my BX1860. I've found several threads on this, which are useful. That said, I'd like to know if anyone has installed one of these in a BX1860? Based on my research, it...

    BX1860 Temperature Gauge

I was using an iPhone when I posted the above info.

    BX1860 Temperature Gauge

BTW, not sure what***8217;s up with the funky characters in my post.

    BX1860 Temperature Gauge

Ok, well that***8217;s completely odd. I took a look at the engine and noticed that there was a wire plugged into the front of the engine. Didn***8217;t look disconnected, but I pulled it off and then pushed it back on to the stud to which it was originally connected. I then on a whim turned...

    BX1860 Temperature Gauge

Hi- I have a 2012 BX1860 with 48” MMM and 203 FEL. The tractor has just over 200 hours and is new to me. I just noticed that while the tractor has not been run since yesterday, the temperature gauge is reading at the 1/2-way mark. The engine is cold. Coolant was just flushed and changed...

    Pressure Relief Valve Bolt Torque?

Yes, the bolt does have a seal. I won't worry then about torquing the bolt. So far it's been snugged up a grunt and a half.

    Pressure Relief Valve Bolt Torque?

Hi- Does anyone know what the torque spec is for the pressure relief valve bolt on a Kubota BX? I think it's between 22 and 30 ft-lbs, but looking for confirmation or if wrong, the correct info. Thanks!

New to Kubota and New (to me) BX - Have FEL Question

Following up on my own post here... Turns out things work much better if the brakes are not engaged. Once I stopped depressing the brake pedal, the front end went right up.

New to Kubota and New (to me) BX - Have FEL Question

Thanks for the replies! Once it stops raining, I***8217;ll try rolling the bucket out first, then lowering the arms. Thanks again!

New to Kubota and New (to me) BX - Have FEL Question

Thanks for the welcome! When I push my joystick up to lower the arms, I don***8217;t think the front end goes up all that much, maybe a little. Definitely not like when I move it all the way to the right, which really raises it up. Not sure if I need to be concerned about this.

New to Kubota and New (to me) BX - Have FEL Question

Hi- I took delivery of a new (to me) 2012 Kubota BX1860 with a 203 loader on Friday. I’m new to Kubota and diesel tractors in general. After lots of YouTube and online forum reading, I spent today changing fluids and filters (oil, fuel, transmission, and coolant). So far, so good in that...
