Hi-

I have a 2012 BX1860 with 48” MMM and 203 FEL. The tractor has just over 200 hours and is new to me. I just noticed that while the tractor has not been run since yesterday, the temperature gauge is reading at the 1/2-way mark. The engine is cold. Coolant was just flushed and changed and looks at the appropriate level. Is the gauge reading 1/2-way out of the ordinary? If so, where should I start to start diagnosing? Could it be a blown fuse? Is there a sensor I can check (if so, how?)?

Thanks for any help here!

Ok, well that***8217;s completely odd. I took a look at the engine and noticed that there was a wire plugged into the front of the engine. Didn***8217;t look disconnected, but I pulled it off and then pushed it back on to the stud to which it was originally connected. I then on a whim turned the key to the position where the fuel pump comes on (clicks) and the temperature gauge went down to ***8220;C***8221;, where it seems like it should be. Possibly related, I noticed that the fuel gauge tacked all the way past ***8220;F***8221;. It stayed there for a couple of minutes but dropped back down to ***8220;F***8221;.

I***8217;ll check again in the morning, but possibly the gauge just got stuck...? Not sure about the fuel gauge. Not sure it is accurately reading the tank level as it says it***8217;s full but I***8217;m probably down a little from full at this point.

Should I check something else?

Thanks!

The strange numbers come from improper conversion of the apostrophe character sent by some computers or handheld devices.
