70 Series BX Dash in 60 Series?

Hi- Any chance a BX 70 series instrument cluster would work in a 60 series tractor? Would the wiring harness work? This is probably a long shot but I really don’t like the gauge cluster in my 60 series. Thanks!

New BX Owner and 1st Cold Start

That is incredible - great picture of the abominable snow tractor!

New BX Owner and 1st Cold Start

It depends, but in the depths of winter it sometimes can get below zero overnight. The tractor is in an unheated garage, so it's out of the wind and elements, but it still gets cold in the garage. I also use PowerService in my fuel.

New BX Owner and 1st Cold Start

Sure did - started in early October just in case. I never thought I'd be thinking of fuel quality so much!

New BX Owner and 1st Cold Start

@RCW - Yes, one of the first things I did after getting the tractor in early Sept. was to change the oil and put in 5w-40 :-) @beex - Thanks for the confirmation; really helps me feel better about starting the bota up in the cold!

Ok, I'll try that next time and will hit the glow plugs just a little longer. Thank you!

Kubota bx first plow of the season

I'm jealous. I spent the weekend prepping my BX for it's first time in the snow only to end up with about 1/2" of snow...just not enough to do anything with. I was kidding (kind of) with my wife that I'd just get home and start shoveling snow into the driveway so I could then plow it back out.

New BX Owner and 1st Cold Start

Hi- Had our first 'real' cold morning so far here in VT - about 10 degrees Fahrenheit when I went out to warm up the car this morning. Since this is my first winter with my BX1860, I thought maybe I should see if it'll start up in the cold. After warming the glow plugs for about 10 seconds, I...

Rear Blade with Offset for BX

Oh, good point - hadn't thought of that. Thanks for the info!

Rear Blade with Offset for BX

Hi- Yea, that's the idea. I'll be using this on my packed gravel driveway. If the PVC doesn't work, I may switch it up to black plastic tubing, which is less brittle in my experience. I think my current blade may be a wee bit too small as it's a leftover from my garden tractor days and is...

Rear Blade with Offset for BX

Hi- Are there any manufacturer's that make a rear blade with an offset feature, that would suitable for a BX? I've found a couple, but they all seem too large for this tractor. Any help would be appreciated!

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Got the BX ready for its first winter. Installed rear tire chains, Edge Tamers on the loader bucket, nifty amber hazard light on the ROPS, and make-shift PVC skid-shoes on my 40" back-blade. Back blade may be too small, but I had it in the garage, leftover from when I had a Craftsman garden...

    Valve Stem Question

Just to close this out... The fluid originally pictured seems to have stopped and was, as many suggested (including the dealer), residual fluid from inside the tire from when a new tube was put in, but not leaking out of the tube. Thanks all for the reassurance on this!

    FS: Stealth LED Light Bar

Hi- I recently purchased a Stealth LED light bar from Custom Mods Speciality Repairs. I installed it, but then realized that I'm too tall to have it light effectively - my head gets in the way of the light (older BX with fixed ROPS, which appears to be a bit shorter than the more recent BX's)...

    Valve Stem Question

Thanks for the response! It's actually subsided since I posted the picture, so yea, probably just tractor newbie jitters.

Installing Lower Radiator Hose Heater in BX

If there was enough room in the BX engine, I'd probably do this - there just really isn't the room. I'm surprised Kubota recommends this as an option on the BX1860. I installed an inline heater (this involved a lot of swearing and cursing Kubota for the poor engine layout), but after doing so...

Installing Lower Radiator Hose Heater in BX

No kidding? I was under the impression the muffler would get in the way; is that not the case? Can you put up a picture? If this is an option for me, with my bx1860, then that would be great!

    BX Hazard/Turn Signal Bulb

So I got the headlights on Amazon, here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NJ9MZH0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I splurged and bought the Stealth LED light bar that Paul Short makes; it's pretty awesome! I'll post some pictures once things slow down a bit.
