BX Brake, Forward, Reverse Rubber Pads

I’ll take a look this evening. I’m hoping for just friction...but as I’ve come to learn, hope alone is never a great strategy. Thanks!

    Oh, sorry, didn't realize - I'm referring to a BX1860 from 2012.

BX Brake, Forward, Reverse Rubber Pads

Hi- Anyone know if the rubber brake, forward, and reverse pads are easily removed on the BX? Are they glued on or just friction fit over something? Thanks!

    Loader Hydraulic Line Dust Caps

Hi- Is there any way of putting on new hydraulic line dust caps without disassembling the hydraulic couplers entirely? A couple of mine are about to break off and I don't really know how to get the new plastic caps on...kind of looks like the coupler would need to be pulled apart to do this...

Tractor Purchase Not Working Out, Getting Stressed

I've been following this thread for a couple of days now and I have to say, I feel for you. What a disappointing experience - one that should have been fun and exciting seems to have turned into a real pain. I watched your video and I have to say that the plastics on the tractor in that video...

    BX 1860 Instrument Cluster

Hmm, not sure on that. It’s possible as the BXs seem to share many of the same parts. Does the cluster look the same between the 1850 and 1860?

    Slow Coolant Leak on BX

Yea, I was thinking of doing that. Just need to order the parts. The local dealer is kind of hit or miss in terms of parts for older model BX’s. I think they stock if the part is compatible with newer tractors.

    Slow Coolant Leak on BX

Hi- I noticed yesterday that I had a very small amount of coolant leaking out of the upper water house, where it goes into the engine (at the thermostat?). I wiped up the coolant, tightened the clamp a bit, and let it sit overnight. I checked this morning and no leak. When I fired the...

For Anyone Considering Changing BX Belt...

While this a completely doable job, know that there just isn’t much room to work on this little beast. The hardest part for me was getting the new belt to ride up over the alternator pulley. After about 45 minutes of trying to turn the engine over while applying pressure to the belt at the...

New BX Owner and 1st Cold Start

Awesome, thanks for the feedback. It's good to know there are other 1860 owners out there - so far, I'm loving this tractor. Getting ready to change the belt - not sure that it needs it, but since I'm not the original owner, I'd like to know that it has been done.

70 Series BX Dash in 60 Series?

New instrument cluster is in! Overall very easy; hardest part was getting the battery out of the compartment. It***8217;s a tight fit and I didn***8217;t follow the instructions to the letter as they called for grinding about 3mm off of the console. The result of not doing this is that the...

New BX Owner and 1st Cold Start

I tried that already, and while it probably would work well, the 1860 just isn't set-up to have one neatly installed. The lower radiator hose is super short and the one spot you can install it, when installed, rubs up against the oil filter and is basically in the way should you ever want to...

70 Series BX Dash in 60 Series?

Question: Does the instrument cluster just pop out? I was looking at the instructions that will come with the replacement kit and it starts talking about removing the steering wheel, the throttle lever, etc. This seems like overkill to replace the panel...assuming it pops out of the dash.

New BX Owner and 1st Cold Start

Where would the magnetic heater go? On the oil pan? How long would you leave it plugged in? Thanks!

70 Series BX Dash in 60 Series?

Do you know if K2731-99000 is both the instrument cluster and adapter or is it just the adapter? I’m thinking it’s both, but not 100% clear to me.

70 Series BX Dash in 60 Series?

I think I found the part - K2771-99000. Says it will fit the BX2360; I have a BX1860. As far as I know the 1860 and 2360 instrument clusters are the same. If that is the case , would this kit fit the 1860? Thanks!
