IF I cut it 3 inches, don't think it would alter the protection on a roll over. It would still be above my head. At least, it will be in the up position. I don't currently use mine since I can't get it in the garage without folding it down. Its kind of a PITA to put it up/down. Another thought...

Does Kubota or anyone else make a little shorter ROPES, top part? I need 3 inches shorter to get in the garage without folding it down. Thought about finding a machine shop to cut it down but not sure I want to go this route. Or is this a bad idea? Thanks

Came home from my camping trip today. Had heavy rains last night. Left the class II I just laid unpacked so it would get real wet. Rolled over it this afternoon. Will be doing this for next couple weeks to get it packed good before it freezes.

Am thinking the middle spindle is greased by the oil in the gear box.

Are they fairly sturdy mounted? Ever come loose when lifting? I like those. Might get a set insted of getting forks.

Been working on spreading class II on my driveway all week. Completed my 50 hr service in between. Almost done before the rain comes end of the week.

2 HST filters? I changed 1 oil filter and 1 HST filter. Hope you meant that.

I don't see a zirk on your diagram either. I will post a pic of my manual tomorrow.

I just looked again. There is no zirk on that gear box. My manual shows the zirk next to the two screws where the fluid is. I will keep checking. Everything else got a few shots of grease.

Looks like 400 hrs to drain HST and the little screen. Posting a pic of my manual. If this is a no no, please delete.

Thanks for the heads up. Looked again, its just the filter. Save me a headache for now. Does the HST oil ever get changed or just keep adding when low? The manual does not state anywhere to change it. Thanks again.

Forgot to mention, There was something like little rubber pieces on top of the oil filter hanging in the hole. That seemed strange. On that HST screen, am presuming I need to clean that before I fill up, correct?

I'll look again to hopefully find it. The book does show a ZIRK (is that better grammar police) thats on the side.

Hope its not as bad as the oil filter. What a bitch to get off. Will use my strap filter remover.
