What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

My 1880 got a new ballast box and a land planer this past week. Still need a few more attachments and should be good to. Never ending story getting attachments.

    Tractor rookie mistake on attachment

Bought a plate for my quick connect, had it welded on from a friend. Works as advertised. It’s aggressive but works great.

Easier way of pulling down ROPS for storage

Been considering turning mine around so it bends forward, redrill holes so it’s at an 45 degree angle forward. Anyone try this? Not sure it can be done though.

    Retirement

Congrats on retirement. I started SS 2 months ago. Still plan some part time driving here and there for one more year. Have a shoulder surgery in November. Could be a short recovery but if the find more the MRI missed, then I’m done until spring. Just have to keep moving so the old joints dont...

Checking fluid in front axle - BX1880

Finally got it off. Used a flat head to lift it up some. Seemed to let out some pressure. Came off then. Had to pop it with a hammer to seat it in again. What a piss poor design.

Thanks folks. Will give it try tonight. Just afraid I’ll brake it and have to order another and wait for it to come in.

Checking fluid in front axle - BX1880

Mine has a yellow cap. Tried pulling on it but doesn’t budge. Tried turning it but it just spins. Book doesn’t state how to remove to check fluid. Afraid to pull harder and break it. Anyone know how it comes off? Thanks

Think I will go the 3 point route. About the least expensive. I know a welder so will talk with him before ordering. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B4VXQ1N/ref=sspa_mw_detail_0?ie=UTF8&psc=1&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9kZXRhaWwp13NParams

    Tractor rookie mistake on attachment

Nope. Already tried. Funny thing is, they sent one part of it and the other part came a month later. I tried to get them to not ship the other part and return the part I had without 20% restocking fee. Wouldn't go for it.

    Camera for 3PT work

After reading this thread, looked at my 5th wheel rear camera to see if this would work. Pretty sure it will but the camera needs power. Not fond of tapping into wiring. The RV rear camera setups aren’t that expensive depending on model.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

My snow pusher came in today. Got it back home. Decided to test something with it. Been wanting a box blade. Just to help smooth out the driveway after laying 45 yards of class II. Held off buying the box blade until I tested my idea With the pusher. It works great leveling off the high spots...
