    B3200 Suction screen

Hi Kuboman The Hydro "B" tractors, including the B3200 use a suction screen on the suction pipe to the hydro charge pump. The hydro oil filter is after the charge pump so it doesn't directly protect it. The filter is in the line just behind the hydro filter on the right side of the tractor...

    No power steering

How did your dealer determine that you needed a pump and a position control valve without a pressure guage? A guage kit is too expensive? Not when you start replacing parts that don't require replacement. ( Or telling customers that Kubota's system is not very good when you really haven't a...

    B2320 Air Filteration System

Sand cannot get by the air filter. But in very dusty conditions fine dust will. If you do oil analysis it shows up . Oil analysis is the best way to determine the proper oil change frequency. Most engine oil is changed much more often than it really needs to be. usually changing the oil more...

    f2100 help

You can drain it from that fitting, and you should remove it and check it for contaminants, But the proper drain is right on the bottom, directly under the seat AND a small plug at the bottom of the final drives (both sides) on the outside.

    B2320 Air Filteration System

Well, there I went assuming again! I assumed the owner has had oil analysis done and knew he was getting silicon into the oil. If he is just looking at the oil and thinking it looked dirty then probably there isn't a problem. Ed

    B2320 Air Filteration System

Hi Termite11 You are obviously an above average operator! Most people would operate that tractor and never check how much grit was getting into things. Assuming of course, that you've checked the whole air system for leaks, the proper thing to do is what you have done, increase your oil change...

    B2400 HST bi-steer turn problems

The most common problem with these bi-speed turns is the activation cable breaking or stretching . It should pull the lever on the front axle fully when engaged, if not you either replace the broken cable or adjust it. If the cable isn't the problem you'll have to take it apart, something has...

    Front diff oil.

UDT is universal differentials and transmission oil. It isn't exactly Hydraulic oil but it does serve that function in most tractors. Almost all oil manufactures have a version for sale. Ed

    B21 rear end noise

Hello Scott Sorry to hear that the B21 was such a major! As regards whether you should have bought a Skid-steer, Well, $2000 is just a tune-up on one of those! We sell Gehl, and though they are very reliable machines, $3000 to $4000 repairs are all too common! I repair and rebuild the pumps...

    Freezing brakes on M___X tractors

There is a tech tip out on dealerlink re rear wheels not turning on the larger M series tractors in cold weather. We have had a couple of instances of this, one just this weekend. the fix seems to be changing the brake fluid annually to remove any moisture trapped in it. this is recommended in...

    B21 rear end noise

Hi OB1 The LSD was introduced with the M40 series tractor and is standard equipment on the M7040dt. M8540 and M9540 tractors. The previous model M30 series tractors had a mechanical diff lock activated with a pedal on the floor. As far as I know this is the only application of a LSD on Kubota...

    Spin-on hydraulic filter

You are right! I shouldn't have brought up the subject of 5-10 micron filters. they just don't apply to this application. Would you say Kubota shouldn't be using them for hydrostatic filters? We can just use a cheap 20 micron filter instead and the equipment will be as well protected? Ed

    B21 rear end noise

Hi OB1 The B series tractor isn't equipped with a limited slip front differential. The B21 also doesn't have a front differential lock, just a rear diff lock. The noise is coming from the rear of the tractor. The sound COULD telegraph up the drive shaft to the rear and sound like it's coming...

    Spin-on hydraulic filter

we are getting way more technical here than is required to clean up the oil on a little old Kubota! Milo has a great idea here, lets not bury it with over-complication. The filtration requirements of a relatively low pressure open center system, especially with a gear type pump is low. A 20-25...
