I imagine most people are replacing those lines with hydraulic hoses.

It is activated by a switch at the top of the left kingpin on the front axle

    Bx 24

Most BX2200's don't have a HST pedal switch though I understand there were a few late model ones that had a confused combination of both safety systems.

    Bx 24

They put the safety switch on the HST pedal on the newer series BX instead of the range lever. The tractor won't start if the HST is away from neutral and it shuts off immediately if the HST pedal is moved without an operator in the seat.

The PTO switch doesn't go out of adjustment but the flimsy lever does bend sometimes causing it to not push the switch far enough. the lever also sticks sometimes and /or the return spring breaks or falls off!

    Bx 24

The seat switches don't affect starting on a BX24. The HST pedal switch and the PTO engagement switch do. The most common problem is the PTO lever not engaging the switch far enough. The pedal switch fails to but not very often.

    L4060 HST

Pistons are available .25mm (.010) over for this engine. Likely rebuilding it would be your cheapest option. Your Kubota dealership might not have the expertise to properly accomplish this though!

    Bent hydraulic top link.

Lets have a picture of how the cylinder was attached. There is evidence on the right side above the pin that the it contacted something.

    Assembly Manuals.

When you buy a new Kubota ask for all the assembly manuals for the tractor and each attachment. They contain a wealth of information regarding setup and operation. The most important thing though is that they contain part numbers for many items that are very hard to find any other way! The...

    BT 900 backhoe problem

Probably just one is bad. they work together so one leaking internally will affect the operation of the other. In this case I would definitely rebuild both though!
