    RTV 900 rebuild

Thicker shims would make the timing later. later timing is more likely to smoke and run rough at high RPM. To be sure you would have to check "spill" timing.

    RTV 900 rebuild

It could be the spark arrester in the muffler. you can remove the tailpipe and clean it.

    RTV 900 diff lock cable

I don't own a Kubota RTV ( it is the only Kubota product that I don't like!)

Kubota L3901 PTO will not engage

It would be a major redesign for Kubota to put a hydraulic PTO clutch in a L3901. Usually if they redesign it becomes a new model.

Kubota L3901 PTO will not engage

The hydraulic clutch really couldn't grind though if that is what he has.

Kubota L3901 PTO will not engage

You are using the clutch pedal when you engage the PTO aren't you?

Dipstick for hydraulic fluid on mx5200 hst

The MX5200 uses a sight glass, it is on the rear of the tractor just left of the PTO shaft.

    B8200 leaking front axle

There should be a bushing on that shaft that is removable and goes inside the seal. remove it, then install the seal and then push the bushing back in.

    B6000 619B Backhoe PTO Pump

Do you have a WSM for the B6000? In it you can easily see that the PTO comes straight out instead of using the final reduction where the PTO is higher on the rear like other B tractors. I don't own a B6000 but there is one across the street from me and clearly the Engine turns the conventional...

    D905 specs

It is set up to loaf along at 1800 rpm so the direct drive generator will produce alternating current at 60 cycles per second. you can purchase the throttle assembly parts to convert it to a variable speed engine.

    B6000 619B Backhoe PTO Pump

The B6000engine doesn't turn the "wrong way". The B6000 pto shaft doesn't have the final reduction at the rear of the tractor like the other "B's" do. thus the shaft rotation doesn't get reversed by an additional set of spur gears. I don't know if the parts to change it can be retrofitted onto...

    ZD28 hydraulic drive problem

I did one a few years ago, very straightforward as near as I remember. I had an overhead chain hoist which helped a lot. I'm not at all surprised at that price, Kubota knows they are troublesome and have priced the kit accordingly. I've seen other times when they have done this too. You will...

    ZD28 hydraulic drive problem

If you try repairing it without replacing both sides with updated HST units you will soon have $3000 or $4000 invested and still have a non-functioning or crippled machine! If you put new HST units on there you will have a great zero-turn lawnmower for $6000- $6500 which isn't such a bad deal...

I don't have a parts book that is specific to the rtv900, maybe someone else here does?

    RTV 900 rebuild

You can do it in there. you might have to cut a small strap out underneath that is holding the cover on under the oil pan. I cut them so the bolt holes are still there to reattach the cover. It is a lot of work to remove that engine unless there is some other reason to do it.

    RTV 900 rebuild

If it were mine I would measure the piston protrusion and make sure they are all the same, then pull the pistons and run a ball hone up and down the cylinders a few times. (make sure to put the crankpin to the bottom and cover it on the cylinder you are honing). Then wash her out good and...

    RTV 900 rebuild

Sure, maybe even less if he can get away with rings and a light hone. But new pistons will be $600 or more and $100 a hole for boring plus having to totally disassemble and reassemble the engine will sure wreck $1500 all told plus labor! But the 700 hour engine may be little better than what he...

    RTV 900 rebuild

You can rering it right in there. Pulling the engine is no small job on an RTV! ( you have to pull the transaxle and engine as a unit.)

    RTV 900 rebuild

I would pull the head and look for scoring in the cylinders ( look closely where the cylinders are siamesed) If there is none you can likely get by with a hone job and new rings but if there is scoring it'll mean boring and new pistons! If you need new pistons you will likely be getting close to...
