Sidekick RTV XG850 ECU Chip or Fuel Controller?

If you like working on these things and are a little electonics savy Megasquirt make a kit type engine controller that would be completely adjustable via a computer and much cheaper than the Kubota one! I use their smaller model (Microsquirt) on my aircooled Volkswagens to convert them to...

B2410 - Using or Burning Coolant

If you lose the coolant on these engines the head cracks! almost every time.

    B3350 Emissions Warranty

I was told by a mechanic at my local dealer that the waranty on V1505 tier 4 engines was increased to 8 years. They never sold one so he could be confused. (or I could have heard something that wasn't what he meant) Next time I'm in I'll ask again. It does seem too good to be true!

FEL 3rd function, top n tilt

I have seen people use a rear remote to operate a grapple. Must be awkward to use but it would be functional.

B2410 - Using or Burning Coolant

Almost for sure you have a cracked cylinder head and will have to replace it. losing the coolant when the heater hose failed and then getting it really hot is the clue!

    B2601 Alternator

You should still get the alternator kit! The original barely could keep the battery charged in the summer with the lights on, it will not run the fan on any of those heaters and have enough left to charge the battery. you might like to add some lights too for working in winter.

    M125x steering controller seal kit

There is no need to take the steering ass. appart to replace the seal. just clean it all off real good and remove the snap ring on the top and the seal can be removed and replaced. It is likely that the o-ring that seals the stationary part has hardened is causing the leak. there was a bulletin...

    B2601 Alternator

It has a dynamo rather than an alternator. they are about 14 amps so won't run much of a heater! Kubota have a kit to convert to a proper alternator Kit #B7311 at the sales department ( It is a whole good item)

    L2501 Hydraulic Oil Filter

The magnet on most new Kubota's is a ring that fits in the filter inside the gasket. Older models like yours have it on a rod in the middle, actually prone to getting broken off! The new filter might not come with a magnet in which case you would clean off the old one and put it into the new...

    Crossed injector wire on 9960

I have seen the DPF on v3800 engines plugged up so thoroughly that the engine couldn't run and never damaged the engine itself in any way. If the exhaust was exiting through the "blown" VC gasket it would have to be going past the pistons and rings.

    Crossed injector wire on 9960

If the DPF plugged on this tractor it would have derated and the red engine light would have been on with the rpm limited . The only way to get it right again would have been with Diagmaster. There is a lot in this saga we don't know yet!

Problem with PTO on L 39

There is a special tool but usually a 1/8 pipe can be made work. If you remove the clutch valve plate you should replace the little pipe ( 36530-27273) in there and the oring (04811-06630). You maybe should be using an overrunning clutch especially if you are running PTO loads with a lot of...

    Crossed injector wire on 9960

If the DPF was plugged ( Not all that surprising at 3900 hrs) The engine certainly wasn't working good before the valve cover gaskets were replaced! Pistons are available from Kubota .5mm (.020 inch) oversize so the engine can be rebuilt. I don't know what the difference in price is but I...

L2501 Hydraulics - How far is too far?

If I had a L2501 and wanted to hotrod it the first thing I'd do would be get those RPM's up over 3000! You'll get a lot more satisfaction from the 5 or 6 more HP than you will from a few more PSI's

Problem with PTO on L 39

The L39 has a hydraulically activated PTO clutch. there is a small plug on the lever on the side of the transmission that the PTO cable operates. Install a pressure gauge there and run tractor and observe pressure. Should be 0 with PTO disengaged and 330+ with PTO engaged. If the engaged...

RTV900 Battery keeps going dead between uses.

A common reason for a RTV 900 to not charge is a blown 15a fuse in the fuse box over the engine. A common reason for that fuse to blow is damaged tail lights. The brake lights run off that fuse so if the wires or tail lights themselves are damaged it shorts out when you press the brake pedal...
