I just checked kubota parts, and serial # 17450 and older do not have a plug. 17451 and newer have a plug on the left side.

A grade 8, 3/8 bolt has a proof load rating of 9300 lbs each. My guess is, something else will fail before the bolts do.

One way would to remove the bolt and washer, then reinstall the bolt. Then push on the head of the bolt, with a puller. Once you get it moving, you may not need the bolt and puller.

condition is a big factor in the price of a used machine.

Can you go by the retainer bolt size and thread pitch.

If you want to try blowing it out. I would use a cordless blower, low pressure and high volume. But I am with Wolfman, just replace it.

A big factor is how much power do you need ? Did the 5100 have enough power, or way more than you ever needed.

I have a 6' rear mount, and a 4' front mount, and they both push snow. Depending on conditions, sometimes it is a bit, sometimes it is a bit more. As long as it is blowing more than it is pushing I would not be too concerned. I find it is worse with lesser amounts, 1/3 depth of the blower, than...

So what shows on the display when you try to start ? It should show why it won't start, ie; hst, pto, clutch, etc.

On a bit of a side note, I find my cordless blower a great rig for getting rid of the dust and dirt.

Those left side mounted brakes are far superior to the right side mounted ones.
