In frame honing of good bores.

But I would clean the ridge first and probably hone with a fixed hone and surface hone with the flex hone

I would pull the oil pan off and remove the pistons. You are almost there with the head off. Why do a job half assed?

    Roll and Drag Setting

On the L2501 the HST is controlled directly by the pedal and linkage. The only way to adjust the control is by regulating the angle of the pedal. On the newer/larger machines with electro servo operation you can adjust how aggressively the machine reacts to pedal input.

    Roll and Drag Setting

That is the way a HST works. You need to modulate your speed using the travel pedal. Slowly increase your speed by gradually stepping further on the pedal and to stop gradually decrease the pedal angle until you come to a stop. By bring the pedal back to neutral position quickly you will stop...

Synthetic or Conventional motor oil in Kubota diesels

There was no suit in court, it was a complaint raised to the NAD by Mobil. The NAD ruled that "synthetic" was a marketing term describing properties and did not define manufacturing processes. The majority of "synthetic" oils produced today, at least in North America are highly refined GroupIII...

Synthetic or Conventional motor oil in Kubota diesels

Synthetic is a marketing term. There is no industry standard regulating what a manufacturer may label as a "synthetic".

    Kubota Tier V DPF engines

The standards mentioned are Europe's Stage 5 emission regulations. The US is still at Tier 4 standards and no further standard has been issued. These are just DPF equipped engines with minor tweaks to meet the newer standards for reduced PM. In reality their previous engines met or came close...

    Not a normal oil question

The shelves are almost bare at the local Walmarts. Shell almost non-existent. Mobil very little inventory , a few other in very low supply, with Supertech having the best availability. Tractor Supply is about the same and even the auto parts stores are low on inventory. There was word a while...

    Not a normal oil question

I would not say that gasoline rated oils would break down quicker but they would not handle the demands of a diesel engine. The combustion byproducts are greater and quite a different. A diesel oil will have to handle soot and higher acid concentrations. HDEO's have more additives than most...

    Mower deck running backwards

Actually the gear box on most 3pt snow blowers use 2 bevel gears just like a mower or cutter does. The fan is driven by the input/through shaft which runs straight through the gear box. The auger drive would come out the side as a stub shaft wit the driven bevel gear on the end of it. My old...

    Mower deck running backwards

The RC48-62A front PTO kit The gear box the same mower. It does not appear to be any way you could move the gear without fabricating your own output shaft and even if you did you may not have the room inside the gearbox to accommodate the change.

    Mower deck running backwards

I suspect the OP has used the gearbox from the RC48-62A deck on which the pto comes from the front and turned it around to utilize the B7200 mid pto. More than likely they require different directions to work correctly.

    Hydraulic fluid cross comparability

You don't have to worry about the hydrostatic portion of your transmission but over time it could dilute the UDT enough to possibly shorten the life of your wet brakes or gear train in the range and final section of the tractor. This would take quite a bit of fluid transfer though. I would just...

Messick's talk on 303 Oil - Three Minute Thursday

https://www.kubotausa.com/service-support/maintenance-schedules/lubricant-maintenance-schedule This is the most current table of lubricants for Kubota equipment. Operators manuals are notoriously out of date and one should always refer to the latest online recommendations. Notice I stated...

Synthetic or Conventional motor oil in Kubota diesels

How many OEM's have you seen approve extending your service interval 5 times above their recommended interval? I myself feel the 200hr interval that is recommended by Kubota is conservative but 1000hrs is the max I would attempt and that is with a premium filter designed for that interval I...
