Reducing erosion V for downhill trail.

The box blade is the best tool. Depending on how hard the surface is or rocks, it could do it in a few passes. If you don't have one and the ground is soft maybe weight the bucket and back drag in float. Using the cutting edge of the bucket on a hard surface is not something I would do. Soft...

    Buying Used at Auctions

And business look at it as a simple way to get rid of an asset. If you had to get ride of equipment it's very easy. Anytime I buy a used piece of equipment I plan on spending money on it. Because even if it's good, chances are if the previous owner knows it's going they tend to neglect it.

    L4701 vs Mx5400 vs m6060

As others said, don't settle. Expand the search. Equipment is shipped all over the country. It can be priced reasonably. Chances are a selling dealer could help. I opted for the mx5400 over the l4701 for loader capacity and pto torque. It's a nice machine.

    Buying Used at Auctions

There are also times when you need it and you can't find it. New or used. Case in point. I am looking for a used dump truck. Particular about brand, engine, gvw, freeboard height and cab to axle mesurment and of course condition. Found one at auction. The exact truck. Set my top price in my...

    Buying Used at Auctions

You have to know what stuff is worth. Stand firm on your top bid and be ready to walk away. Shop the used markets for the items you want to bid on. It feels good if you just priced a used item and got it for less at auction. Just keep it mind what the auction house adds to the great deal. When...

    Buying Used at Auctions

I have bought equipment from actions such as Richie brothers. If the equipment is around 5 years old it is possible that it is just being replace because it can no longer be depreciated. Same goes when you see a bunch of the same of equipment. Lets say, a fleet of a particular truck and they...

    Rock bucket for B2601

I went crazy with this problem of screening material. The rock bucket works awesome for large pieces. If your going to constantly screen I might suggest a rock bucket and add a screen or something between the times to it or a screen on a frame to dump into. I wound up with an attachment called a...

    Critique My Binder Setup

I trailer a MX5400 as well. I use the same points as you. Binders are basically the same too. Normally with bucket and box blade. And like the comments on the rear connection, I agree two different points in the rear would be preferable however I can't find a great place for this. The rear axle...

    L6060 buying questions

I would question that loader number. As Ksbotafreak said, double the number of the loader to get the weight in kg. Top n tilt... Well worth it. Great time saver. Had it with and without. Will always have one. Regen is effortless and should not be a concern.

    Added Tie Down Points

Having those up front make it so nice to tie down. For those who don't have a backhoe, what are you using for the rear?

How much digging can I do with a Skid Steer Shovel with a Kubota B2602?

I do have a similar bucket. I was impressed with it. I can't comment on your size tractor, I use the bucket with my skid steer and my MX5400. It digs so easy. Night and day compared to a std bucket. Mine is heavy and has teeth.

Correct operating RPM. for LX or compact tractors in general.

An engine likes to run in it's max power range. That is not to be confused with WOT. This is why the manual is a good reference. A diesel doesn't like working below it's max torque. Lugging the engine is never good. No harm comes from working it max torque.

L3901 - what is the proper RPM for each job?

Operators manual.... That said, you may have the tendency to use lower rpm from time to time; Don't. keep rpm up as the manual says.

    Air Filter Cleaning?

Replace it. Air filters are cheap an engine is not. Diesels can be easily damaged with dirt.

    Filters

I have 5 pieces of equipment with kubota diesel power. I use baldwin. Oil, air, fuel, hydraulic. Maintenance schedule kept and oil samples taken.

    New Kubota owner

Almost the same as mine. Very nice machine. I added three rear remotes so I could use one for an implement and two for top n tilt. A canopy and a rear view mirror. I really like this machine. I use it in construction type projects and equipment yard work. No ranching or farming. I wish I had a...

    Owners Manual for MX5400 HST

I could not find one. I had to wait for my tractor. Most of the stuff on the 4800 and 5200 MX's are darn close. There is a lot of redundancy in the manuals for all these.
