I didn't think about the no down pressure. I would think that with the coupler latched less chance of getting in trouble. In an uneven surface, I could see how the 3 point could be damaged. As for using the FEL. I am not opposed to it, I think I want a dedicated receiver attachment. I do have a...

    Trying to get my MX5400

Funny thing. when I said I am picking it up this week no matter what. Everything except the top-n-tilt kit got installed and that kit promised by Monday. My guy did loan me a L4701 until mine is ready.

I originally thought about using the draw bar. Some of my trailers are hauled by larger trucks and the hitch is 2 feet off the ground. Others are about 15 inches off. So being able to raise and lower the hitch from the tractor will be easier. I will however have a big D ring on my draw bar.

I like that set up. The winch is a great touch.

One of my tractors jobs will be moving trailers around my equipment yard. the yard is under an acre and flat. Trailers are tandem axle and empty. 20' flat beds with pintle and 500 gal water trailers with 2" coupler. Not much weight for my MX5400. A receiver for my 3 point looks like a good...

    Trying to get my MX5400

I am down to it needing a L8303 spool valve and the L8388A top-n-tilt kit. The tractor and all of my options are at the dealer. Some are waiting to be installed. I instructed my salesman to install what he has so I can take delivery this week. Then I will happily pay for the remaining items...

Suggestion - How about starting a newbie introduction section?

As a newbie, may I chime in? Yes an introduction section is a great idea. Some folks have been on here a while and a new comer feels outside the circle. So a place to introduce ones self would be nice. As for trying to come up with pre made posts or treads, I thing your over thinking it. Add an...

Simple fix. Clean surfaces and proper torque.

L2501 Coolant leak - possible engine block damage

I would suggest using a pressure tester to confirm that a leak exists. I also use dye to trace difficult leaks. Possible that a blind bolt hole was compromised by one of the loader bolts.

    Its almost here

Congrats..... I am waiting for the top n tilt kit and a valve to complete my order. Tuesday is the drop dead day. If they don't show, put on the stuff that is there, 3rd function, canopy, etc and let me have it. My dealer did give me a rental at nc. And I truly appreciate that plus I got stuff...

How to choose a box blade

I hope to pick up my MX5400 in the next few days. I decided on the land pride HR2572. I looked at manufacturer applications, read stuff here, I wanted hydraulic tip n tilt and hydraulic ripper's. As stated, wider than the tractor footprint. I looked at what others in my area were using, looked...

    Trying to get my MX5400

Do any of you guys know if a dealer only gets parts from the manufacturer or do they have the ability to check the stock of other dealers?

    Trying to get my MX5400

Yes I get it, 2020 is the year of back order. If that's what is going on, I will probably delete the options he doesn't have and go get it. The dealer, trying to help has even offered me a loaner at no cost. I would prefer to just have mine.

    Trying to get my MX5400

It took weeks to decide on the model and options for my use. Once the decision was made, I moved forward. The dealer is one I have bought my Bobcat and attachments from. I know them. After a week or so I checked on progress and I was told some of the hydraulic options I choose are on back order...

    Owners Manual for MX5400 HST

Got it and thank you. Once it gets here I'll be more excited to put it to work than read about it. This way I can actually have read the entire manual before it gets dirty

    Owners Manual for MX5400 HST

Did you ever find the manual? I just ordered my MX5400 and wanted to do some reading up on it while I'm waiting for the hydraulics to be added.

    PTO driven Hydraulic power pack

I just ordered my MX5400. It has multiple construction type jobs ahead of it. One such job is to operate a "flip Screen". This is a tool we use with a Bobcat, and I want the tractor to use too. It requires a 12-17 GPM flow rate and a 2248 minimum PSI. I want to add a power pack. Already built or...
