Those senators don't seem to last very long in Arkansas. They usually get run out of town fast. Especially when you try telling a red neck what they can and can't do with there guns :D was surprised to see sanders on that list. He used to be pretty gung-ho about people's rights and such. Must be getting senile in his old age.
We were able to get a vote going on wether the county I live in is gonna go wet or dry. County is currently dry. Would be nice to be able to run to the corner store for a sixer, instead of having to drive 30 miles round trip:(

Does anyone have the actual text of the treaty?

"The treaty begins with a preamble that "reaffirms the sovereign right of any State to regulate and control conventional arms exclusively within its territory, pursuant to its own legal or constitutional system." This statement isn't buried in some footnote; it's found at the very beginning of the text. Now please correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this mean that our government, and not the United Nations, gets to figure out how guns will be handled within the United States?"

I do believe the treaty is designed to regulate international gun trade but does nothing re: gun sales or use within our borders. I own guns and am a strong supporter of the 2nd amendment but also believe in facts, science, and reason.

And what's up with dry counties? Hard to believe they still exist.

Dry county's are all over here in the Bible Belt. Didn't realize it was dry till I moved here. Was a culture shock when you go from buying it any where in the state. You should see what they've been saying on the news, commercials, and folks on the street. Folks are pretty passionate about it. Almost to the point of ignorance. Average person is less apt to drink and drive if they can get booze near by then having to run to the next county. Right now there are more folks drinking and driving coming home on there booze runs.
The dry county thing here is a joke any way. You can buy booze at all the restaurants in town and private clubs. Just can't buy booze at the stores. Seems like it would make more sense to keep the tax revenue in the country instead of giving it to the next county.

MA has some of the strictest laws on guns in the country. There is a bunch of rough areas that have shootings every day so I don't see how more regulations will help anything.

Not surprisingly, Snopes is absolutely wrong on this subject.

John Bolton has warned exactly of this issue. The U.N. want to take on the legal arms trade and eventually disarm the entire world. The only ones left with weapons will be the governments. After watching 70 million die at the hands of "government" in the last century alone, we don't want to go down this road. History shows us how it ends. (Wonder why they don't teach realhistory in schools today?)

http://videos.allinnra.com/un-arms-trade-treaty.aspx#.VFYoraid414

The same lady who engineered the disarmament of the UK, and then later Australia, has an office in Reston, VA. Soros has her well funded for her effort in this country.

The thing people do not realize is NGO's (Non-Governmental Organizations) are receiving millions from international governments and the Soros' of the world. The only ones standing against this in this country is the NRA, funded by donations by private citizens like you and me.

You would not have seen 58 US Senators write a letter to the President telling him any UN treaty would be DOA if there was not a threat to the Second Amendment now would you? . The "spin merchants" at Snopes has been caught in "mistruths" before.

The mainstream media unabashedly and unrepentantly covers for what is the most secretive and unconstitutional administration in American history. More damage has been done to the fabric of this nation in the last six years than ever in its history. Watergate was a second-rate break burglary and it took down a presidency, as well it should.

But, when you witness the IRS attempting to ruin people simply because of their political affiliation, the Fast and Furious gun running program morphed into a reason to call for more gun control in this country -that has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of Mexicans and two Americans, as well as the Libyan consulate disaster which has left five Americans dead, and NO ONE on the mainstream media even wants to talk about these issues, their credibility is not only lost, but their allegiance is forever in question. The Fourth Estate has failed its job.

Sorry to rant but, I swore an oath to give my life to support and defend my constitution against "all enemies, foreign and domestic." When I left the military, I never relinquished that oath. America needs to wake up and start asking formerly unthinkable questions about the direction their country is headed. Many good people have been lead astray in history. It can happen again here.

And by many accounts, it is well underway.

Now watch the Sharyl Attkisson story get ignored or dismissed. I think this one is so big, it will take the roof off the White House. And well it should.

I mean no disrespect to anyone. I hope we all quit relying on the "formulated babble" we get from the 'tube stations" and do a little fact checking for ourselves. What you find may be disturbing, but it will also free you. Ignorance will be the end of our nation.

Oh, and before anyone attacks the NRA, a little history...

After the Civil War, the US Congress looked at the war and made some inescapable observations. Situated in the North, they witnessed some of the early losses by the North, many the result of a lack of firearms skills by recruits from the North. They were working in factories and cities and had lost many of the basic skills those who lived in the South still had. Congress sought to create an organization to help foster marksmanship and gun use. From that, the NRA was born.

Another thing the media doesn't tell you, and this is powerful...

I love this quote:

The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed- where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once.

Right now the UN does not have non-military arms regulations capabilities. The treaty is their first foray into that realm and if you think they are going to stop at just regulating small arms between countries, you are living in fantasy land. Governments never get smaller, only bigger, until the revolution happens, then they tend to get pruned back really quickly. Those arms are what allows them to be pruned back. Mess with the 2nd Amendment at your peril.

Well I didn't see this list prior to voting at 6:45am this morning, luckily I didn't vote for Dick Durbin anyway.

I hope you bet on the right Horse.
Thankfully I did, glad to see Baker stepping in to clean this state up. He favors a ban on assault rifles but he has to give the Dems something. It actually amazed me to see so many votes for higher taxes and fees until my wife reminded me Wellies don't pay any taxes.

It's surprising to see NH swing to the left. You guys are going to have to change your slogan from "Live Free or Die" to "Tax Me To Death." Hopefully you guys will keep your sales tax at 0 so I can save some cash on large purchases!

Here in Sconsin we put Walker in for another term.

Regarding the UN thing, I believe that George Soros is funding a good part of that. The Un should be booted out of this country. It's a worthless organzation.
If you get a chance watch the debate between Rebbeca Peters and Wayne La Pierre. I know it's old but it gives you some insight into what a bunch of wack jobs these people are.
Scary stuff.

Assault Weapons? To buy those "automatic weapons" you have to have a CLASS III license issued by the Feds!

Standard "black" guns are no different than hunting rifles or 22 rifles kids shoot. One trigger pull=one bullet at a time.

Wonder if they are gonna come up with a hammer ban as more people are killed each year with hammers than black guns.

More gun free zones... That'll keep us all safe. Oh... wait... nevermind.
