B2650, what's the back end made up?

Which part are you asking about? The rear diff housing? I can throw a magnet at it when I get home this evening and let you know.

    Rear weight

Personally, I'd rather use an implement for ballast than spend money on ballast for ballast sake. I either have the backhoe on or the heavy boxblade attached when doing any loader work. As far as backing into things, a concrete filled barrel would do just as much damage as a boxblade. Stay off...

    Piranha Toothbar

I talked to them last week about the root ripper and quick connect for my backhoe. Super nice guy, said they got inundated with orders this spring all at once and just weren't prepared for those numbers. Growing pains for the company, but good for it in the long run. Turns out they are local...

    Trying to decide - B2601 or B2650

This may sound ridiculous, but I did it when trying to decide on the mower deck size of my ZTR. I cut a piece of bamboo the width of the wider of my options, and just walked my property in the areas of concern. It didn't take long to find out what was too wide. As for tractors, I was looking...

    Kubota Super UDT fluid

On a different note, SUDT2 full synthetic reduced the HST whine volume by about 50% when I changed over from what originally came in it (regular UDT). Well worth the extra few $ to save my ears.

    B2650 bi-speed turn?

Mine is a 2018, doesn't have that. If I'm making tight turns and I don't want to churn up the ground, I don't want 4x4 anyway. If I'm in slick mud and need 4x4, I'm not concerned about churning up more mud. I can't imagine needing 4x4 while trying to mow around trees like the article...

    Piranha tooth bar???

One thing to keep in mind is that if you use the backhoe often, using the bucket to lift the front for stabilizing will tear up the ground much more so with the piranha blade than with a flat edge. If it's a big concern, the bar is easy enough to take off when using the backhoe.

    B3350 or B2650?

I don't have much to compare with as far as brands since I only have the one Kubota, but I do know that my 2650 came new with regular UDT fluid. At 30 hrs I changed to SUDT2 and the HST whine has reduced by 40-50%.

    Warn Winch Install

I've never had a situation where I thought needed a winch on the tractor. With the bucket and backhoe, that thing can crawl up and out of any hole it can dig itself into.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Last week digg'n stumps, I didn't notice I had a leak until I moved her for a different angle. Bid puddle in the dirt, hard to tell how much I lost. Thought it was a hose blown, but turned out to be just a loose fitting. I was planning on upgrading to the synthetic SUDT2 when I did the 50 hr...

Is a cab a wise purchase

Personally, I went open station because I'm frequently jumping on and off, and often use the backhoe controls by reaching back from the regular seat position. With a cab I'd be opening and closing that door each and every time and that would slow me down and be annoying. The backhoe station...

Cup holder? Mine works very well as a canned beverage holder, never thought about putting a cup there ;)

What would you buy for this lawn/property?

Of course having the BX and a ztr would be the best, but if you can only budget for one or the other, I'd suggest the BX. It won't mow that yard as fast, but at less than 2ac it won't make a huge difference. The BX will make a huge difference in it's ability to do everything else (leveling and...

My recent purchase, thanks in part to OTT!

Congrats. I've got the same set up with turfs and couldn't be happier with it. This forum has a wealth of knowledge and I'm sure you'll find lots of suggestions on what to do to it/with it. Enjoy.

    B3350 or B2650?

I'd suggest take an honest look at the implements you need now and any future implements you think you'll need, then look at the specific pto hp requirements for those. If they all require 19 or less get the 2650, if they require more then you'll definitely need the 3350. Remember, hydraulic...

B26 - About to purchase - Updates coming?

The first post stated B2601 so I was comparing the B2601 with loader and backhoe to the B2650 with loader and backhoe. He had stated he wanted it cabbed, so the backhoe would have to have it's own seat either way. I hope I didn't confuse the issue. Dirtydeed is correct, the the TLB series is...

B26 - About to purchase - Updates coming?

I must be missing something. From the Kubota site, the 2601 comes with the 434 loader and the BH70 hoe. The 2650 comes with the 534 Loader (much stronger) and the BH77 hoe (again bigger and stronger). The 2650 has a factory cab which I hear has great fitment and is better than most...

B26 - About to purchase - Updates coming?

If you're getting it enclosed, why not just get the cabbed B2650?

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Sorry to hear about the flooding. My dock was underwater for awhile, but it never encroached up into the yard. Good luck with the clean up, glad nobody was hurt.
