cutting a trench without a backhoe?

Snowmobiles and snowcats yes. Wolves, no, but that sounds like an awesome way to spend a day.

    Blade balancer for MMM blades?

Static balancing is well within tolerance for a blade to prevent any damage or noticeable out of balance feel. With hitting big rocks your bigger problem is with bending the blade. A bent blade, even if balanced statically, can cause noticeable vibrations and can cause spindle or mount damages.

    Kubota Ballast Box

Is this for your 2650? With the tires filled, I've not had a load yet that needed extra ballast. It will lift a overflowing bucket of wet crusher run gravel without issue. If you don't have the tires filled and you are using forks to lift heavier objects, you could need ballast in a hurry...

Best Tractor For Us? Another B2650 / L2501 choice

Sorry for the late response. Yes, it's backlit in a glowing kubota orange color, with black digits. Super easy to see at night.

New turf tires for the kubota L2501 almost ends in disaster.

I always lower the loader and go forward till it hits the front of the trailer, then set the brake. This ensure the tractor can't move forward no matter what. I use HD tie downs at each corner. I don't set the BH bucket on the trailer. I set it in transport position and use the transport...

    Blade balancer for MMM blades?

The spinning mass only needs to be balanced in the plane of rotation. In other words, a nail in the wall is a very accurate way to do it, and cheap. The thinner the nail, the better.

cutting a trench without a backhoe?

I love snow. My screen name is freeheeler because I ski on telemark bindings that are connected at the toe only (free of a heel binding). I love the Knoxville area, but we get NO snow to speak of. Around here the schools close if we get a thick frost :(

cutting a trench without a backhoe?

Flip, I hear ya. A backhoe is a tool, and if you don't need that tool on a regular basis, it's a total waste of money. On the other hand, if you use it often, it's priceless. I can't think of a week this past year when I didn't use mine. There are hundreds of ways to use it once you get...

New turf tires for the kubota L2501 almost ends in disaster.

I don't see the problem. 1 1/2 lane road, 1 and 1/2 vehicles ... plenty of room :D (I'm allowed to make Miata jokes, I own one)

    50 Hour Service

I had a leak and had to replace most of my hydraulic fluid. I decided to upgrade to the full synthetic SUDT2. I didn't see any performance benefits, but everything is much quieter. The HST loud 'whine' is half as loud now. For me it was worth the few extra $.

Best Tractor For Us? Another B2650 / L2501 choice

I have the turfs, and love them. I watched a Messick's video where the tractor stalled out before the turfs broke traction. R4s will do most anything on your list, I went with turfs because they are wider and tear up the lawn less. When I think of 'heavier' jobs where weight is a factor I...

Best Tractor For Us? Another B2650 / L2501 choice

I mainly do loader, backhoe work, and weight doesn't really matter with that. Lighter is less traumatic on the turf. If you are doing a lot of ground engagement work, the L is heavier and better in that regard. As far as the gauge goes, I don't really know, but I'll check on that. I mostly...

Best Tractor For Us? Another B2650 / L2501 choice

I think it's because they are very similar size and hp classes with very similar lifting capacity. I wouldn't call that a fair comparison. The L3560 and the B3350 would be a better comparison with the L still a much better tractor.

Best Tractor For Us? Another B2650 / L2501 choice

Those are the same 2 tractors I was debating between. I decided the B was better for me. I keep the BH77 on most of the time, only taking it off to use the box for dressing up the driveway. I liked the taller ground clearance, longer stance, but also tighter turn radius. The steering just...

    Piranha Toothbar

Got the call Thursday afternoon. Went by Friday afternoon to pick up my quick connect bucket adapter and ripper tooth. Howard had it all labeled and ready for me, and he's refunding the shipping charges. Super friendly, really nice facility, great product. I'll definitely be a repeat customer.

    Piranha Toothbar

wow, 19 pages on the PTB, impressive free publicity (good or bad, it's still free). My order was placed on 4-8, but it was for something else. Looks like I'm waiting for them to fill all Y'alls PTB orders before they can get to making mine ;)

    Zero Turn Mowers

There's been several threads like this, search them, they all have some good info in them if you want to sift thru. I'll give my plug for Ferris like I've done before. I've got about 3 acres, pretty bumpy here and there. Lots of commercial mowers that work fantastic, but no matter how good it...

    Piranha Toothbar

If they ever do call to tell me to come pick it up, I'll pick up several job applications and start passing them out. Sounds like they need help.

    Piranha Toothbar

Just get a wider bucket  Seriously though, that just sux. Sounds like being under the gun to fill too many orders has caused some production mistakes. I hope they get you and fixed up and the problem solved. In the mean time, no word on when my tooth bar and quick bucket connect will...

    What RPM's do you use

I'm no expert, so don't do as I do. I'm just saying what I do and why, hoping the experts can chime in give some advise. I don't do any PTO work, just loader and backhoe which is all hydraulic. I don't run WOT, I run it at whatever rpm it takes to make it sound like it's not bogging down...
