    Zero Turn Mower

Oh, I've bought my share of craptastic equipment in the past and know buyers remorse well. The short story is that I have a "bad back". I've tried several mowers. The Ferris with full suspension is the only one I can mow the whole yard with and still be able to get out of bed the next...

    Zero Turn Mower

I bought a Ferris a few years ago. You couldn't pay me to mow with anything else.

    Projects Forum

I've had a few projects that I had thought about posting, but ... like you pointed out, it takes a lot of time and effort to take photos and document. I'd be interested in reading any projects that get posted, I just seem to be too busy to take the time to post them myself.

    Kubota hst recall update

I don't know about PA, but in TN there are specific Lemon Law criteria. I had a vehicle with electrical issues. The dealer would fix it, but the problem would come back. After the third go round, I told them it was a lemon and I wanted a new truck. Of course they laughed, but after their...

Root "shears" for a backhoe arm ?

Iv'e got the quick connect and the ripper tooth. While they work really well, the ripper tooth rips but doesn't cut. If it had something to cut against that could mount where the tooth would normally be, then it might shear pretty well. If I had time to be bored I'd look into it ;)

    2601 or 2650

I had used my dad's BX for several years and wanted more lift and digging power. The 2650 was a bigger jump in size and the BH was much more capable for what I needed. I don't mow with, I use a ZT, so the 2601 really didn't have any advantages for my use. If I needed the tractor to mow, it...

Add weight to tires or not?

I was concerned about tearing up the lawn as well. I don't mow with it, and I have the big B, but I often have soggy ground that I didn't want to tear up. I opted for the turf tires without liquid ballast. When I picked her up, they had already added fluid to the rears. The dealer said to...

Barn / Garage / Shop -How did you select size?

As far as plans go, I just drew up what I wanted and the builder said "yeah, I can do that". Mine is standard 2x6 walls construction on a 50x50 concrete slab. 2 stories, 4200 sq ft with 2 double wide 9'ft high garage doors and one man door. I really like how it came out because it's what I...

Nice. Close, heavy, and in your case, compact and quick hitch friendly.

Another Safety Issue—- Seat Switch Deactivated?

That's why I installed a separate BH seat, and the swivel seat adapter is sitting in a box. I often have to move the tractor forward or back several feet to realign. Standing beside the tractor I can lift the bucket, hold the safety switch down with one finger while the other hand moves the...

    Bx Weight box

The closer the weight is to the rear axle, the more weight you need. The farther back the weight is set, the less you need. So if you are restricted with clearance issues, go close and go heavy.

Tearing out top soil to put in a driveway

I agree with the geo fabric, 3-4" of stone, box blade and bucket. I use crusher run for my driveways. Keep in mind, by doing this you are basically making a 230 ft exposed french drain of sorts. Pay attention to any grade/slope and adjust as needed for drainage.

    Teaching Profession

Re: What did you do to or on your Kubota today? Sure, come on down and visit. I hear my wife say that almost every evening. When she gets together with her friends who are also teachers, that's all they talk about. They are rated on performance standards, but mandated on what and how to...

    Teaching Profession

States were given an incentive to adopt the Common Core Standards through the possibility of competitive federal Race to the Top grants. U.S. President Barack Obama and U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan announced the Race to the Top competitive grants on July 24, 2009, as a motivator for...

Why does one side light up solid when turn signal is on?

I got that from my 3rd grade teacher. Mute point = a moot point falling on deaf ears. Somehow that stuck with me.

Why does one side light up solid when turn signal is on?

All this comparison to cars is a mute point. I think I'm the only one in TN who actually uses turn signals except for the occasion car that drives for miles with a turn signal flashing :(

    Fuel Gauge B2650

I also use the Mr Funnel, it's amazing how much junk it filters out. I use a 5 gal jug and only refill when it's low, so I never have to check on progress. I already know all 5 gallons will fit. I can see that being a problem if you are using a container that's larger than the tank you're filling.

    Deere Loader on Kubota Tractor

What am I missing here? If you are looking at $1-2K for a new loader, put that towards a Kubota loader that fits, not a JD that doesn't. If you already have the JD loader then it's more like ... Loader I already have - $0.00 New tractor - $$$$ If that's the case, pull out the cutter and...

    Stupid Dummy Question

Yes, I wouldn't even consider the B3350 if I were looking to buy. The L is definitely more heavy/robust, but the large B actually has more ground clearance if that matters to you.
